Always You by Claudia Y. Burgoa: Nando is the guy you go to when you are looking for mister right and for the right price he will definitely deliver. However when it comes to his own love life he is a bit more guarded, after seeing the aftermath of his parents disastrous relationship he can’t seem to snuff his fear of completely giving himself to a relationship. But luckily for Nando he has his best friend Brianna, after meeting freshman year at NYU something just clicked between the two kindred spirits, determined not to lose each other to any kind of stupidity they both agreed to stay firmly in the friend zone… but something changes between the besties when Bri heads to Nando’s hometown of Luna Harbour to help the Cantú family bring the town back to its former glory.

Between Bri’s drive to help the Cantú’s and her determination to sort out her disastrous love life with the help of a few dating lessons from Nando, things begin to change and Nando is faced with questioning if just maybe his perfect match has been right in front of him this entire time, now Mr matchmaker has to convince his best friend that he is her mister right…

I think is pretty safe to say that I love reading Burgoa’s books and the Luna Harbour series has been one hit after the other. It was impossible not to fall in love with Nando and Bri in this slow burn friends to lovers romance. These two were so meant to be and that was pretty clear right from their first meeting, the fact that they friend zoned each other all these years only made getting to see them come to realisation all the more divine.

Both characters were really easy going and totally loveable. My heart just broke for both Nando and Bri and the fact that both of them have had such a rough time with experiencing love and being loved. For all his love guru vibes and expert relationship advice for others, Nando was pretty guarded when it came to his own love life after having lived through his parent relationship which caused his deep rooted fears of letting someone love him. And this has held him back all these years from fulling living. I think in away this is largely what helped connect him to Bri, the fact that she has never truly been loved and the that her father never really got over the death of her mother. I just loved the connection that Bri formed with Nando and his family and that this was her chance to experience the love of a family.

Nando and Bri were just the sweetest, I loved the comfortable ease that flowed between them, which came from being such good friends for so long. I think the fact that both of them had experienced such a heart breaking in regard to their family life only helped create their bond. But let me just tell you their chemistry was on point! I absolutely loved getting to see them find their way to each other. If anything at all these two have been in the longest committed relationship without the psychical aspect. This only made getting to see Nando pursue Bri all the more sweet. I just loved their playful banter and the way that they lean on each other. These two really were each others person and it was such a treat getting to follow them on this journey. Alway You is a total must read!
