And Now, Back to You by B.K. Borison: Delilah is done playing small. She has worked too hard to land her spot on the news team and she refuses to let anyone, especially her maddeningly calm, perfectly composed co-anchor make her doubt that she belongs there! Her mission is to be taken seriously by everyone in the studio and Jackson is definitely not about to get in the way of her plans! Jackson prefers control. He thrives on preparation, structure and keeping his world neatly contained. But Delilah? Well she’s unpredictable and she challenges him at every turn. But soon they both begin to realize that just maybe they judged each other to soon. With the more time they spend side by side under studio lights and long after the broadcast ends the harder it becomes to separate professional rivalry from something far more personal. What starts as friction during the snowstorm slowly shifts into something softer. Deeper and completely unavoidable…

Right from the very first chapter I just could not help but get pulled in to the fast paced world of the newsroom as Delilah and Jackson tried to tiptoe around their feelings for each other. Borison has done a brilliant job in balancing humor, warmth and those quieter, softer moments that really make you care about the characters and to craft a story that will have you invested right from the get go.

Delilah and Jackson were such a fantastic pair and what really makes this book shine was how much care Borison gave to their personalities. Delilah was ambitious, passionate and fiercely determined to prove herself but she was also relatable in the way she doubts herself and worries about how others see her. She was not perfect and that made her feel just that much more real. Jackson on the other hand well he was calm, collected and a little guarded. Which made him both frustrating and incredibly charming all that the same time. I loved that he was so disciplined and confident in his work, but there was a vulnerability beneath the surface that slowly comes out around Delilah. Together these two were electric and I could not get enough of them! Their differences spark tension, humour and genuine chemistry that made following them as they figured out their feelings all the more delicious.

The chemistry between Delilah and Jackson was one of those slow, simmering dynamics that builds in the most satisfying way. It was not instant or over the top, instead we got to see it grows through shared glances, playful tension during broadcasts and the quiet moments when they begin to truly see each other beyond the professional façade. What makes them work so well is how their differences actually balance them. Delilah’s passion and emotional honesty push Jackson out of his comfort zone, while his steadiness gives her a sense of grounding she doesn’t always realise she needs. While they definitely do challenge each other sometimes to the point of annoying each other, but they also truly support each other.

All in all I have to say I found myself getting lost in the sparky banter and the slow burn stares that fired Delilah and Jackson’s love story. This is a total must read if you are a fan of the workplace romance trope!
