Bad for Business by Kat Singleton: Camille is all about order and fixing messes. She definitely doesn’t do distractions, especially not the kind that come wrapped in expensive suits with a trail of scandals in their wake. Tasked with salvaging the image of Ryker Pembroke, billionaire playboy and her latest PR nightmare, she heads into the Hamptons summer determined to keep things strictly professional. If she can rehab the image of the most messy billionaire playboy in town then she is a shoe in for the big promotion that she has had her eye on, all she has to do is make sure Ryker stays in his lane and away from his usual scandal and mayhem. The only issue with her plan is, Camille did not factor in Ryker himself. So much more than the headline and charming bravado, Ryker is simply a guy that is struggling to deal with expectations put on him while finding his footing in the world. What started out as sparring turns into something far more dangerous… an attraction and connection, the kind of heat she can’t spin away… The question is, is Ryker actually be worth Camille risking her heart by breaking all her own rules?

I loved this book! Simply put Bad For Business was a prime example of why I keep coming back to Singleton’s books—they’re charming, impossible to put down, and always packed with heart. This time we return to Pembroke Hills for a tantalizing enemies-to-lovers romcom that will have you swooning from beginning to end.. We are back in Pembroke Hills with another tantalising enemies to lovers romcom that will have you swooning from start to end. I just loved the way Singleton sprinkles in the banter right from Camille and Ryker’s first meeting and then builds up this simmering tension with each of their interactions. Just perfection if you ask me!

Camille was a heroine that I immediately found myself rooting for. She’s ambitious, intelligent and determined to prove herself in a world that constantly underestimates her. I liked that Singleton didn’t just make her a tough PR exec but gave her character dept and showed us a vulnerable side to her. We get to see Camille fight to gain her fathers approval and constantly fear that she just isn’t enough. Ryker, on the other hand starts as your classic arrogant billionaire playboy but as the story unfolds we get to see past the polished façade to someone carrying grief, pressure and the weight of family expectations. I loved getting to see Ryker slowly opening up to Camille and showing her the side to him that he keeps hidden. We really get to see these two help each other realise that they are so much more than the pressures that other people place on them and in them realising this they help each other heal but also grow as individuals.

The chemistry between Camille and Ryker was just perfection! There was enough banter and sass laced through this book to make my giggle, blush and want even more of them. It was the perfect balance between the sharp banter, the silly cute moments and the slow slip of their guards that really made this one of my favourite reads.

Singleton once again blends sass and heart in BAD FOR BUSINESS. With its irresistible mix of billionaire bad-boy drama, forced proximity tension, and the glitzy Hamptons backdrop, this read is pure indulgence—and an absolute winner!

Ryker Davenport is the reckless, arrogant heir to his family’s company and my ticket to a big promotion.

As a publicist at one of the top PR firms in New York, I’m used to handling tough cases—not impossible ones. But how better to prove I’m deserving of that promotion than to turn Ryker back into the golden boy everyone once thought him to be and convince the board that he’s fit to lead. The only catch? We’ve got some history—the complicated kind.

Spending the summer working in the Hamptons wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t stuck here with the one man who knows just how to get under my skin, and into my head. I’ve spent so much time with him that it almost feels like our fighting has slowly turned into flirting. Now I’m worried it’s not just my head he’s getting into—but my heart.

The job was to prove to the world that Ryker isn’t bad for business, but in doing so, I may have proved to myself that Ryker isn’t bad for me…
