Balancing the Scales (Brits in Manhattan #1) by Laura Carter What happens when 2 workaholics collide at a bagel cart? You get an amazing story like Balancing the Scales (Brits in Manhattan 1) by Laura Carter. I have not read this author before, but I can tell you that this story had me hook, line and sinker. This is the amazing story of Becky and Drew.

Becky and Drew are not looking for love, heck, they are not even looking for a relationship, but when they run into each other when waiting in line for their morning bagels, they are struck by the instant sparks, but both try to ignore it. As they try to navigate through a relationship that neither is willing to admit is a relationship at all, the harder they fall for each other.

I loved the connection between these two. It was instant and real. I loved that they danced around their feelings for each other, neither wanting to admit to the other that they were falling hard. I cannot wait to see what will happen with the other characters in this story. A truly amazing HEA!
