Billionaire’s Second Chance in Paris by Rebecca Winters: When they were both teenagers, Raoul promised Fleurine that he would come back for her and they would be married. That didn’t happen because Fleurine’s abusive father caught them saying a chaste goodbye and become furious. He held Raoul at gunpoint and threatened to kill him even though Garber worked for Raoul’s family business. Garber, Fleurine’s father had treated his wife and children badly and was part of a cult that had women dressing like it was the 1800’s.

Raoul went on to become a success and wealthy in his own rite. He and his other brothers are triplets. They have had estrangements and difficulties over the years. They now seem to be very close. Raoul’s brothers are both married and are chiding him to settle down. Raoul has dated, but still thinks of Fleurine after ten years. Through various sources, Raoul believes Fleurine was taken to Switzerland and forced to marry a man her father picked out.

Fleurine has escaped that fate. She did go to Switzerland, but thanks to her mother she was able to run away, change her name and educate herself. She’s now an engineer for a big company. To move ahead, she goes to an interview at a bigger company. She runs away when she sees that Raoul is there. She is afraid to get too near to him since she still believes her father is hunting for her and Raoul. She decides she will stay with her present job and hide out with her new name.

Can Raoul and Fleurine find a way to get back together and live the life they planned all those years ago?

I enjoyed this third book in the Sons Of A Parisian Dynasty. Raoul is a very caring man both to veteran’s who live and get better in the family’s ” Palais ” which has been turned into suites. He goes out of his way to help Fleaur and her family move on to a better future.

Fleurine has had a battle over the ten years since she had to leave home. She is very brave. At the same time she is right to feel a bit scared.
The inclusion of French words returned me to what little I remember from high school classes. The food described made me hungry. The locations were brought to life with vivid descriptions. When I went to write this review and typed in the word Billionaire, I saw how many books I had read with this trope. It’s one I have come to enjoy among others.

You can read this novel on its own. I do recommend you start with the first and work your way through to get a full understanding of the development of the characters.
