Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster: Aurelia is looking forward to starting over and maybe getting over her painful crush on her best friend, Ben. She’s smart, feisty, and can’t wait to open her own bookstore. She has a great new business, new apartment, fabulous friends, and her grandma.

Ben is a bit of a workaholic. He loves running his company and work is really fulfilling for him. He has more money than he knows what to do with, but he’s also down to earth and not at all flashy. He loves his close-knit and meddlesome family.

Aurelia and Ben have been best friends for years. Both are totally in love with each other, but have they own reasons for never pursuing turning their relationship into more. Aurelia’s move to another town has woken Ben up that he needs to finally make a move or risk actually losing the possibility of more.

“Yes. Us. You and me, Aurelia. Everything else, except B, is just noise right now. I know my timing sucks, but this is about us as a couple, and I want that. Got it?”
“In the animal kingdom that kiss was the equivalent of peeing on Aurelia,” Piper said. “I think everyone in here got it.”

They quickly learn that life has many unexpected surprises in store as Ben learns he might be a father to an adorable baby. Getting Aurelia’s help allows them to grow closer and finally cross that line from friends to more. They really help and support each other and they learn so much more that they never knew about each other.

“I’m sorry, but I just wanted you to stay. Is that so awful? I like being with you and watching your hot little bod moving around my house.”
She rolled her eyes, but there was still fire in them. “What else have you lied about?”
“Uh-oh,” Piper said.
“Nothing. I swear,” Ben said. “And this wasn’t really a lie; it was a hopeful coercion.”

Call Her Mine is endearing, sexy, funny, and emotional. Melissa Foster continues to develop entertaining characters with banter, heat, friendships, and family. Ms. Foster created a great friends to lovers story with surprises along the way. Call Her Mine is a standalone and features characters from the Sugar Lake series. Fans of Leddy Harper and Meghan Quinn will enjoy Call Her Mine.

Two besties and a baby make for an instafamily and a surprising romance in a delightful series by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of the Sugar Lake novels.

Ben Dalton has always been honest, except where his heart is concerned. He’s been in love with his best friend—saucy, smart-mouthed Aurelia Stark—forever. But Ben’s a planner, and timing has never been on his side. When he finally decides to make his move, Aurelia beats him to the punch with a move of her own—to a different town.

Aurelia loves her new life in the charming town of Harmony Pointe. She has a great apartment and her very own bookstore, and best of all, the sinfully hot, commitment-phobic friend she’s crushed on for years is no longer just around the corner. Maybe she’ll finally be able to leave her unrequited love behind and move on.

But when a baby is left on Ben’s front porch—a baby that is presumably his—Aurelia is there for him. Neither one knows the first thing about babies, but how hard can it be? Ben and Aurelia are catapulted into a world of love, laughter, and tracking down the baby mama, and it might even add up to a very happily ever after… just not one either of them expects.
