What Levi didn’t expect most of all, was the distraction of the pastry chef and how much he wants to get to know her. But she will not make things easy for him, and if he wants even a friendship from her he will have to work hard to get it even if that means waking up early each morning when she is alone in the kitchen preparing to make fresh bread.

As the relationship between Levi and Kate develops, so will the intrigue and mysteries surrounding them, for there is someone close that wants the truth behind the kidnapping and murder to be kept hidden. And the ambition and greed of others may put them in the path of the killer and put more people in danger, especially Kate who will not let the killer get away as easily.

Kate and Levi are very likable characters that will steal your heart with their stories but they will make you fear for their lives as they try to find the truth behind the kidnapping, the murder and discover some deep dark secrets. For a very intriguing and entertaining read, don’t miss Colton by Blood by Melissa Cutler.
