Dead End by Lisa Phillips: This definitely lives up to being called a Dead-End“suspense” story! Was up all night to finish! I immediately felt drawn into Nina’s story, as she searched in earnest to find answers about the real killer in her mothers’ death many years ago.

Nina is desperate to clear her deceased fathers’ name as she is convinced he was not responsible. Joining Nina in her pursuit is Marshal Wyatt Ames, as well as close friends Sienna and Parker, also former law enforcement. As Nina and Wyatt uncover more and more clues, and more people that were harmed and threatened by her mothers killer, the killer becomes more and more desperate to quiet her and Wyatt.

They quickly realize they are dealing with an extremely deranged and psychotic individual who seems to always be two steps ahead of them. They are in a race against the clock to prevent more deaths and to bring the killer to justice. Additionally, Nina struggles to learn how to trust Wyatt, and to tear down walls she has erected over time to protect herself. They gradually grow very close.

This book reminds me of suspense stories written by Linda Castillo, which are full of twists and turns. I truly did not want to put this book down! I highly recommend “Dead End”.
