In Dr. Perfect on Her Doorstep by Lucy Clark, when GP Stacey Wilson moves back in her beloved hometown to run her family’s medical practice, she does not expect to find delectable Dr. Pierce Broilin on the doorstep of her childhood home. She is not looking for a relationship, especially when she has added responsibility of handling her three younger siblings after the death of her parents and facing heartbreak from her fiance who abandoned her so easily.
But the sexy doctor is breaking her “I am so over men” resolution with his sexy eyes. Suddenly all bets are off and Stacey might have just find her Dr.Perfect in Pierce Brolin.
Dr. Perfect on Her Doorstep by Lucy Clark is a well written heartwarming friends to lovers romance. The best part of the story was how well the secondary characters were integrated in the story. They never overpowered the main plot but blended perfectly and bought the main characters even more closer.
Stacey is the eldest among her triplet sisters and has the added responsibility of raising her three much younger step siblings. She has always put others before her and has never shied away from responsibility. Her fiance abandoned her quite suddenly and therefore she is not looking for Mr. Right after her last disaster. Pierce is similar to Stacey in many ways– he too never shies in taking responsibility of his younger sister and has been unlucky in love before. The romance is slow paced and reality based due to the transitions it goes through. There is not much conflict in the story and that was a negative point for me personally. The medical details are ordinary but in abundance.
Overall, Dr. Perfect on Her Doorstep by Lucy Clark is a must read for the author’s fans .It is superbly written and tells a good and enjoyable romance.
