Fighting the Fall by Jennifer Snow: MMA heavyweight champion Tyson Reed needs to defend his championship in just a few weeks. If only he didn’t have a gym to run and men to train. If only his drug addict brother didn’t crash into his life, and display case, again. And, biggest of all, if only the gorgeous and untouchable actress Parker Hamilton didn’t come into his gym demanding to be trained for her new role.
His hand caught her wrist and a second later he was swinging her around to face him, closing the gap between them. He released her wrist and grabbed her hips with both hands, pulling her roughly toward him. “Why is it that you’re the last thing I need right now, but the only fucking thing I want?” He growled.
Parker has been in quite the acting slump. Her career downhill, the only chance she has is her new role as an MMA fighter in a small indie film. The only problem, she isn’t exactly in fighting form and she needs the best of the best, Tyson Reed, to train her.
As they struggle to get along and fulfill their own goals, Tyson and Parker can only resist one another for so long. But Tyson can’t have the distraction and Parker is trying to find her way back into Hollywood, will being together ever really work?
I really enjoyed Fighting the Fall. Parker and Tyson were complete opposites and yet they clicked perfectly. Parker forced her way in at the same time as letting Tyson find his own way to reconcile the family legacy of MMA with falling in love and opening himself up to another.
At times, I just felt awful for Tyson. Nothing went right, nothing beyond meeting Parker and that, of course, went wrong a time or two as both struggled to fit the other into their life. It was almost a little too much struggle since there was never really a moment of peace.
But otherwise, the chemistry was fantastic. And it was funny. Really amusing. And sweet. So sweet and unexpectedly sweet. I definitely recommend Fighting the Fall for any romance reader, especially those who love an MMA fighter, and no worries about knowing the first in the series at all.

oh I have to add this one to my list now!!! I love MMA fighter romance…I have no idea why, but its one of my favorite tropes in contemporary romance to read.
Olivia
I totally get you! They’re so hot, just something about that tough man’s man falling, and falling hard for his woman

Thanks for the review, Olivia. I’m happy you mentioned it had funny parts because I never would’ve thought that from the blurb.
Olivia
Of course! And yeah, I feel oftentimes the blurb doesn’t give at all the full feel of a story
