Final Offer by Lauren Asher: Callahan Kane is used to being the Kane family screw up, after all he is the only one in the family that just can’t seem to get his life in order for longer than a few days, but with his wacky grandfather leaving outrageous stipulations in his will attached to each of their inheritances Cal has no choice but to heed his grandfathers wishes and face a few ghosts from his past. After all failure this time is not an option with not only his inheritance on the line but that of his brothers as well… the only problem being that Cal did not factor in was falling in love with Alana all over again or for the small lake town that he called home all those summers ago to be the one place that he actually feels at peace… The question now is can Cal be the guy that everyone hopes he can be or will the pressure just prove to be to much once again?

LOVED!!! This was hands down the best book in the Dreamland Billionaires series! I loved Cal and Lana to bits, these two were everything and more and made my romance loving heart just skip a beat! I’m a total sucker for a cute second chance romance and this book knocked this trope way out of the park, I’m talking possibly the best second chance love story that I have read in a long time, that good!

Lana was such an amazing leading lady. More than anything I loved the fact that she had a heart of gold and really just wanted to help make everyones problems okay. I loved her with Cami, the bond that these two shared was nothing short of heart warming and a true reflection of unconditional love. For the most part Lana was a passive character that really didn’t rock the boat to much but there were a few moments that we got to see her dropping some sass and showing Cal that she is no pushover. I loved seeing her achieve her dream and really finally doing something for herself for the first time.

As much as I loved Lana the real star of this book was Cal, this guy was so incredibly charming that it was impossible not to love him and root him on. The thing that made him so love able was how relatable he was, he faced some major demons and had to pull himself out of a dark place and we got to see him struggle through all of this. I think Asher has done a brilliant job with the way she handled Cal addiction and his journey to becoming sober.

The thing I liked the most about Cal’s story was that it was real, his struggle felt real, his pain came across and his mission to get sober came from his desire to be better for no one else but himself. I really liked getting to see his relationship with his brothers and how it has changed since seeing him in their books. Also seeing him with Cami was just a total swoon fest, this guy truly has a heart of gold. Oh and I can not forget to mention Merlin the cutest cat ever, I loved that even before Cal was ready to allow anyone into his heart he had Merlin, if this didn’t just prove his heart of gold I don’t know what will!

Good gosh the connection and pull between Cal and Lana was incredible. I loved their shared history and that constant underlying tension. These two never stoped loving each other and getting to see them dance around their feeling for each other only made their ultimate connection all the more beautiful to see. I loved that Cal went out of his way to prove to Lana that he was the man for her and Cami and that he was in it for the long haul.

It was such a treat getting to see Rowan and Declan again, I loved getting to see how they have grown thanks to Zahra and Iris. More than anything I really enjoyed getting to see these three brothers back in action together and seeing how their relationship has evolved. Also I totally loved Cal and Iris, their best friend bond truly was the cutest.

Final Offer was the perfect way to end the Dreamland Billionaire’s series, this book tired up each of the three brothers stories, resolved the issues with their father and we finally got to see the boys get their inheritance. I can not say it enough but this series is definitely one that every romance lover should read! Final Offer is a TOTAL MUST READ!!

Callahan
I’m the Kane brother everyone gossips about behind closed doors.
Trust fund brat. Washed-up athlete. High-functioning alcoholic.
No one knows the real me but her.
Lana Castillo—my childhood best friend and the only woman I ever loved.
When I broke her heart six years ago, I promised to never return to Lake Wisteria.
I kept my word until my grandfather’s will changed everything.
To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.
The request was simple in theory until my entire plan blew up on the very first day.
Turns out Lana doesn’t just live at the house, but she claims to own it, too.

Alana
Falling in love with Callahan Kane was a mistake.
He told me so before destroying my heart and our friendship six summers ago.
When he promised never to come back, I foolishly believed him.
But then Cal showed up again, intending to sell his grandfather’s lake house.
The biggest flaw in his plan?
My name is on the deed.

I haven’t read this series yet but I have it on my tbr. I’ve seen lots of good reviews and it’s on kindle unlimited.

  2. Latesha B.

This is a new to me author, but this story sounds really good. I will have to look into the series.

  3. Hooked By That Book

This one was more difficult to read than the first two, with all of Cal’s issues. And the book did a good job of showing that edge that loved ones walk between supporting someone and enabling them too much.
