Guilty-PleasuresGuilty Pleasures by Deborah Fletcher Mello is a highly enjoyable read with complex characters who go through realistic emotions on their way to finding love. The story is filled with strong characters who are put in tough situations and must learn from their choices.

Family is everything and life is too short not to work out your feelings. Alex and Zach eventually learn this lesson after not speaking to each other for six years. Alex and Zach are twins, so their bond is even more special, but all it took was for one woman to come in between them. Both brothers are sexy and very successful. Alex is a former NBA champ who just opened a new sports and athletic center while Zach is a MMA title holder and needs his brother to get him back into fighting form. Because of their history together Alex wants no part of Zach until he meets Sarai.

Sarai is successful, beautiful, and unlike any woman Alex has come across. She’s also Zach’s best friend. Sarai is a former Miss Thailand with a doctorate in exercise physiology who just got hired to work for Alex’s athletic center. The moment Alex sees Sarai, he knows he wants her and plans to go after her. Even though Zach and Alex are twins, Sarai only has romantic interests in Alex, but until Zach and Alex can overcome their problems, a relationship isn’t happening. Sarai is extremely intelligent and caring. She wants Alex and Zach to work out their issues and does all she can to talk some sense into Alex. Sarai is a fantastic character who you just can’t help but love. The romance between Alex and Sarai is top notch. The more Alex and Sarai interact, the more heat the story has.

“The look he gave her was soul deep, causing her to take a swift inhale, holding the air deep in her lungs.”

This is one relationship that you just know will last.

The author provides lots of information on Thai culture and their customs, which I found very intriguing. It was great getting into Sarai’s background and learning about where she came from and why it’s important for her to follow some of the customs. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, which has Zach finding love. Overall, Guilty Pleasures is a great read with lots of romance and strong family ties.
