In Hiding from Hollywood by Ellie Darkins, Abby was England’s TV sweetheart, but in her search of Hollywood fame she made a wrong choice, which now has her hiding from any type of notoriety.

Hiding-from-Hollywood-by-Ellie-DarkinsEthan Walker is a famous movie producer and has been working very hard to create the best movie. He worked many years to prefect the script, now he needs the perfect cast to bring it to life and give it the justice it deserves. But he has not found the right lead actress, until his stay in England where he sees Abby acting in her old TV show. Now he will stop at nothing to get her to be the lead in his movie.

Abby is used to her life as a waitress in one of the worst parts of town. Her life is simple and far from what it used to be, but she likes it just the way it is. Until she sees Ethan Walker walking towards her diner, now everything she has done to stay out of the limelight is at risk.

Ethan hired a PI to find Abby, he expected her to be a waitress like many other actors and actresses waiting for their big break, but not for her to be in the worst part of town. But now that he has found her, he will do his best to convince her to take the part in his movie. Only as soon as he walks through the door and starts talking to Abby, she grabs his hand and drags him outside and away from everyone there.

Abby needs to get rid of Ethan as soon as possible before anyone notices him. So she will agree to seeing and talking to him later, now she just needs to find a way to back out of her agreement. Yet she knows that he will only come looking for her again, so she will have to meet him on her terms. Meaning she will dress with the most serious and unattractive clothes she has to discourage him from using her as his lead actress.

Only fate has other plans, and her fast in and out of his house is soon blocked by a terrible storm that strands her for the night at his place. Then by weird luck she soon finds out that there was a shooting close to her home and a stray bullet injured her neighbor. Which leads to Ethan taking her back to his place and her living with him for the time being. Living together in a big house may have looked like they would not have to see each other, but being in close quarters will bring them closer and lead them to having the life a regular couple does.

But there is still the fact that Ethan wants her as his lead actress, and her not wanting to be in the limelight. Unfortunately unless Abby tells him the truth of what happened Ethan will not give up. Not to mention that the way their relationship is progressing also complicates matters for her. Just being close to him puts her in danger, so what can she do without telling him the truth?

Abby and Ethan have a tough journey ahead, and only the truth will help them both get what they really want both personally and professionally. It’d a tough road with many blocks they have to go through, but the end result will be their most inner desire if they are both strong enough to go after it.

If you want a sweet, deep and very interesting read, don’t miss Hiding from Hollywood by Ellie Darkins.

Abby has succumbed to a life as a Hollywood cliché: the actress/waitress. But unlike most she’s keeping the “actress” part buried in her past. After a traumatic start to her life in Hollywood she’s decided to disappear from the limelight.

When movie producer Ethan Walker walks into her diner, she’s terrified. There’s nothing she wants more than to run and hide; the last thing she wants or needs is for her name to be connected with his. That way leads to tabloids, journalists, and exposure.
But Ethan has thought of nothing but Abby for months: the beautiful, talented actress who will save his career when she agrees to take the lead role in his movie. The project’s on the rocks already, and without her, it will certainly be canceled and his career will be over.

When a shooting in Abby’s apartment block leaves her without a safe place to stay, Ethan offers her sanctuary in his home—but she knows it cannot come without strings attached. And so, with her attraction to him growing, Abby must decide whether she can finally stop running and trust Ethan with her secret.
