In Hot Nights with the Fireman by Lynne Silver, the first book in the Alpha Heroes series by Lynne Silver, HNFPublic Relations (PR) expert, Valerie Wainwright, faces her toughest challenge yet. When she’s hired by the city’s government, to clean up the tarnished reputation of a local fire station. After a picture — taken inside said fire station — begins circulating all over social media, of one of its firefighters almost naked. Determined to do her best work, to prove she’s ready to become a partner with the firm she works for, she fails to compensate for her instantaneous attraction to the very man that caused her newest PR headache, Jason Moore. Since their magnetism could lose her one of the things that’s always been a constant in her life – her career.

Valerie Wainwright stared at the mostly naked man up on the projection screen in her office conference room. Correction. The uber-hot naked man. Correction. The uber-hot naked firefighter.

These opening few sentences are good ones, don’t you agree? Those two words — naked man — hooked this romance enthusiast from the moment I read them, just as the author clearly expected them to. The plot charmed me with its opposites attract trope, and the main character’s back stories. There were moments where I laughed and moments where all I wanted to do was cry. Especially for the heroine, as she’s a survivor with both the physical and emotional scars to prove it.

Nevertheless, her back story wasn’t the only one that appealed to me. Jason’s was just as captivating. His efforts to clean up his image after the debacle with the photo, added a little humor to a story that made me constantly question, if Valerie takes a chance on him, is she strong enough to overcome her fears of rejection and the dangers of his job? Two choices that may sound easy enough to conquer, yet for the heroine they’re really not. Not when she’s been burned in the past.

There is so much chemistry between Jason and Valerie, which fuels some really hot sex scenes that — I’m certain — would make many women wish they were on the receiving end of his affections. Jason is a skilled and generous lover, and never once leaves Valerie unsatisfied.

Hot Nights with the Fireman was a nice read, of which I loved the ending. It was also a good start to a series, and has me looking forward to the next book, as it features Valerie’s best friend, Ariana. I would recommend it to romance readers that love a man in uniform. And a man whom can convince the heroine that they can overcome any obstacle, to achieve the happy ever after she’s always wanted, but thought she could never have.

After steamy photos ignite the Internet, firefighter Jason Moore instantly goes from hero to bad boy. While he couldn’t care less about an online rep, he cares a lot about his job and saving lives. If Valerie can help clear his name, he’ll do what she says-even if it means forcing himself to keep his hands off her. But beneath Valerie’s cool cover, Jason feels a smoldering desire that lights his own. And this is one inferno he’ll definitely want to stoke . . .
