Hot Target Cowboy (Dark Horse Cowboys #2) by June Faver: He first ran into her at the auction barn, literally ran into her and almost knocked her down. He being Colton Garrett. Unfortunately Misty Dalton was at this auction because her family had to sell their horses. Her father was terminally ill and unable to keep up with the ranch and her brother Joe wasn’t much help. They had to sell the horses because they desparately needed the money. They were probably going to lose the ranch and Misty didn’t know what would happen to her family. It would take a miracle… or Colton Garrett to come to the rescue.

Colton didn’t remember ever seeing the beauty he ran into at the auction barn even though she insisted he knew her. Wow! Maybe it was “love at first sight” which he had laughed at when his brother declared it had happened to him. Colton couldn’t stop thinking about Misty. Turns out he had a chance to be her “knight in shining armor” when tragedy struck. Their story is one you will want to read.

Hot Target Cowboy by June Faver is book #2 in her Dark Horse Cowboys series. The first book in the series introduced the three Garrett brothers and featured middle brother Tyler who is a budding country and western singer, a great read. Colton’s story is another well-written story with lots of romance and suspense. Things haven’t been going well for the Daltons and the storyline includes an old mystery disappearance and people getting shot and killed. The plot runs smoothly and the author treats her readers to very likeable characters. This is a super page-turner.
