Hott Shot by Serena Bell: The last place that Quinn Hott wants to be is playing receptionist at Hott Shot spa and salon, but if Quinn and his siblings want to get their inheritance then he has no choice but to follow his dread grandfathers wacky stipulations or his sister will lose her business and their family land will be sold off. So this is how the worlds most grumpy scientist finds himself playing receptionist, to the absolute dismay of spa manager Sonya Rossi. As much as Quinn loves pushing Sonya’s buttons and annoying her, he can’t help but also want to kiss her senseless, but surely he shouldn’t… right? Well his will power is about to be put to the ultimate test when Sonya and Quinn get stuck in a cabin alone together… could Sonya be the one to finally get Quinn to believe in love?
I absolutely adored the Wilder series so I was super eager to get my hands on the Hott Springs Eternal spin off series and let me just tell you right now, this book did not disappoint! I loved every single moment of this grump meets sunshine, laugh out loud, cute romcom. I just loved getting to see Rush Creek again with all its wacky residents and loads of cameos from the Wilder clan. I really liked that this book picked off right from where the last Wilder book ended but at the same time it stood as a book on it own, meaning you really did not need to have read the Wilder series to enjoy this book.
Sonya was a total ray of sunshine, I loved our girl to bits. Not only was she a hard worker but she did it with the best attitude. She had a lot going on in her life and her trust issues only made it harder for her to accept help from others. I loved that she believed so strongly in self care and the importance of taking time out for yourself, though I wish she would have taken her own advice on a few occasions. Nevertheless I did really enjoy getting to see her open up and allow Quinn to take care of her for once. Gosh was our hero swoony! Quinn just melted my heart! This guy was a total care giver, he was all gruff and grumpy on the outside but did he love hard. Once he cared about someone he was all in and I just melted.
Sonya and Quinn were just a treat to follow, these two had some of the most hilarious moments in the beginning. There was so many miscommunications that lead to some very awkward moments that made for reading gold, but once they finally began to communicate properly these two had some incredible chemistry. I loved their banter and the comfortableness that they develop as they begin to open up to each other. Sonya was in deep need to finally be taken care of and have someone show that it is okay ask for help and support and Quinn was just the guy for the job. He was a born nurturer and provider. I just loved getting to see them falling in love as they allowed each other into their hearts.
The side characters were great in this book, it was such a treat getting to see the Wilders again and getting to see a different side to Hannah. I can not wait to read the next book in this incredible series. If you are looking for a cute, mountain romcom, with a nerdy hero that will melt your heart then Hott Shot is definitely the book for you!

Beauty salon… and the Beast
Quinn: Working at the family wedding resort wasn’t exactly on my Bingo card. But it’s the only way for my siblings and me to get our grandfather’s inheritance, so here I am, staffing the Hott Spot Spa and Salon front desk. It’s an absurd gig for a man who makes Oscar the Grouch look like a people-person.
Still, I’m a hard worker. I’ve made a fortune off my scientific discoveries, and if I can engineer groundbreaking drugs, I can do anything, right? Not according to Sonya Rossi, the spa’s smoking hot and relentlessly perky manager. My grumpy approach is testing even sunshine-y Sonya’s patience. Meanwhile, I’m not sure whether I want to rain on her parade—or kiss the smile off her face.
Then the universe throws another curveball, putting us under the same roof. The closer Sonya gets, the more I like it—and her. I want to get to know her better and let her see the side of me I never show people. Until now, I’ve only believed in what I can touch, sense, and prove. I definitely don’t believe in love… but Sonya’s making me wish I could.
