How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn: Storee Taylor used to love spending her Christmas holidays at the cute Christmasy town of Peppermint Cove, with her darling aunt Cindy. Well that is until the most embarrassing thing that could have ever happened to young Storee, happened. After that she has spent the better part of her adult life avoiding the cute small town like her life depends on it, that is until now. If there is one person that could guilt Storee into doing something, it would be aunt Cindy, which is how Sotree finds herself heading back to Peppermint Cove after nearly a decade to help look after her aunt. Surely the everyone has forgotten her embarrassing moment by now, right? The only silver lining being that she will finally get to see her old friend Cole again. Only problem being, long gone is the sweet cute fun boy that Storee remembers and in his place is a grouchy and moody Cole, who is determined to get under her skin. Even if this Grinch has to fake it a bit he is determined to get even with the girl that left him all those years ago…
I love reading a Meghan Quinn book, they are always cute, spicy and have a hell of a lot of witty banter and My Neighbour Who Stole Christmas is no different. I absolutely loved this cute romcom spin on the Grinch, I have always had a soft spot for this grumpy green bugger and I was super thrilled to see a book inspired by him, and Quinn really did not disappoint. This was truly the cutest book to get you into the festive spirit. There was load of banter and some zingy jokes laced throughout the book and if you love a bit of meddling then never fear because the folks of Peppermint Cove have it covered.
I really liked both main characters, there were so different but gosh did they just work. For all the sunshine and sweetness that was Storee, Cole was ready to come in and rain on the happy parade. I really enjoyed getting to see Storee come back to a town that she loved so much and get over her embarrassment. She was such a sweet and enduring leading lady. I loved the relationship that she had with her aunt Cindy and that she really just wanted to make everyone around her happy. Now for our hero well at first Cole comes across as a total Grinch but the more we get to understand him and why the sweet boy changed into a grumpy man, the easier it becomes to love his character. My heart really broke for him and how the loss of his parents effected him and the fact that he chose to close his heart of in fear of being hurt. I really enjoyed getting to see him come full circle and learning that he has to live for himself even of it is scary.
The chemistry between Cole and Storee was just perfection. These two had the best balance between sweet and cute and saucy and spicy. I loved the fact that they knew how to rile each other up in the best way possible, there was never a dull moment with all of their prank wars and the heat simmering between them. And add into this mix their brilliant idea to fake date? Well this is were things gets hot and fast! A definite highlight of this book was the towns Christmas competition, this was just giggle after giggle. As always Quinn brings out some of the best supporting characters. I loved aunt Cindy and the meddling hand that she played in bring Cole and Storee back together, as well as the rest of the nosey towns folk.
My Neighbour Stole Christmas was such a cute and fun play on the Grinch, this book was trope packed, we get a bit of everything in this holiday romcom and I for one loved every minute of it! If you are a fan of slow burn, friends to enemies to lovers, fake dating, small town romcoms with a whole lot of Christmas cheer then this is definitely the book for you!

Living in a year around Christmas town has it’s drawbacks. The caroling, the decorations, the insanely cheery spirit, it never disappears. It’s why I like to hibernate away in my cave–I mean house–keeping a healthy distance from the holly jolly spirits.
And all was going according to plan until my nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. Without blinking, she turned my simple world into a real nightmare-before-Christmas, especially when she decided to enter the town Christmas Kringle contest – which she was determine to win.
Well guess what? Over my cold-hearted body.
There was no way I was going to let her win, not after the history we’d shared.
So despite my promise to myself of never participating in the sickening Christmas season, I entered the competition as well. That’s right, I planned on beating Storee at her own game by pretending this grump’s heart grew three sizes this season.
And it was working until feelings between us started heating up.
We pretended to date.
We kissed.
And well, sparks flew from there.
Which led to one explosive night involving Christmas lights, the competition, and a ladder. Don’t let me convince you who stole Christmas, I think you need to find out for yourself . . .
