In Too Deep (Station Seventeen #3) by Kimberly Kincaid: What I love about the Station 17 series is that Kimberly Kincaid weaves suspense that keeps the readers on the edge of their seats while giving them a hot and steamy love story. Top that with getting to visit with old friends from the engine house, squad, and police station and you have a recipe for one amazing story. This is the story of Quinn and Luke.

Luke Slater has trained hard to become a Firefighter and is working equally hard on his EMS training. Nobody can call him a slacker, but nobody knows him personally. Luke keeps his private and personal life very close the vest. He does not share, he does not talk about his family. He knows what getting to close to someone can cost you. He lost his mom and his dad, left to help his grandmother raise his deaf sister, but nobody knows that, not even Quinn Copeland the hot paramedic who is helping with his training.

Quinn Copeland loves Station 17. Although qualified to run her own squad, she would never leave the family that she has her at this house. Her mother died when she was 6 and her father when she was just starting college. Not having any real family except the one that she created with her station mates, Quinn is ok with that. And she is super ok with Luke Slater stepping in when her squad mate is injured.

But when Quinn and Luke are kidnapped at gun point, have their lives and the lives of those they love the most threatened by one of the meanest gangs in town, they will have to trust each other and have each others backs in order to get through this. Being the only ones that understand what each other is feeling and going through pushes them to open up to each other in ways that they have never done before. But when the gang targets the firehouse, and then takes Luke’s sister, it is a race against time to save them from the wrath of a gang that is out to destroy them.

What I loved about Quinn and Luke is that they were each a soft place for the other. Sure their chemistry was HOT, but when Quinn was scared, it was Luke that brought calm to her life. When Luke felt like he let his family, especially his sister down, it was Quinn that stepped up to do everything in her power to make sure that the girl was safe. They both danced around the attraction before it just exploded on the pages. Yep, HOT is the right word for these two.

I love that we get to see the characters and couples from the previous books, and I love that although the suspense is for each member and each couple is from a different source, they are are all interconnected in some way, shape or form. I have loved this series since book 1 and cannot wait for the next amazing addition to Station 17.

Publication: October 17th 2017 | Kimberly Kincaid | Station Seventeen #3

As Station Seventeen’s rookie, Luke Slater knows his fire and EMS training will be both rigorous and risky, but he never imagined having to partner up with the one woman he wants to keep at arm’s length most of all. Quinn Copeland is as wide-open as Luke is reserved. He has no interest in letting the sweet and sexy paramedic rock his hard-earned control. But the need for composure becomes the need to survive when they find themselves in the crosshairs of a brutal gang leader on their first shift together.

Paramedic Quinn Copeland’s station mates aren’t just her friends. They’re her family. She’d do anything to keep them safe—including reluctantly trusting her impossible-to-read, impossibly gorgeous new partner with the one thing she holds close. As the passion between Luke and Quinn goes from a slow burn to a sizzle, their steps grow more and more dangerous, both in the fire house and out. Can they outwit a cold-blooded killer and face the fears that could cost them everything? Or are they in too deep?
