In Kiss Me, Katie by Monica Tillery, Katie McCoy is the fiddler for the band Sterling. She has been with them for the past six years since she graduated from high school, and she is not only the fiddler, she also has written some of their songs and co-written KMKothers with band’s lead singer. Now her band has paid a lot of money, but they are hoping that being the opening band for the very famous Blake Jackson will bring them more fans and more work.

Blake Jackson has always concentrated on his music first and last. It has been his dream and his drive for a long time, now as he is at the top he wants to find the perfect woman to share everything with. But he wants a woman that will not only see the famous Blake Jackson or his money, he wants someone that will look at the real him that is behind the public persona.

When Blake sees Katie backstage looking out he finds himself oddly attracted to her. He always basically ignores the women unless they want an autograph, but now he is giving Katie a private tour of the area. When he finds out she is the fiddler for the opening band, he asks his assistant to plan an outing to a bar after the show with everyone.

But as Katie and Blake get closer emotionally, physically things will get though. Katie will not surrender her freedom easily, not her job as a fiddler nor her body to someone without a very obvious commitment first. And no matter how much time they spend together during the tour, once her band’s schedule with Blake is over, so will their relationship.

Blake has a lot to learn about relationships; one is that ultimatums are not something that should be used lightly, especially if they can end up breaking your heart. While Katie will have to learn that every relationship takes compromise, and not everything is just about how she wants things to be, for that is not realistic.

If you want to see what happens with Blake and Katie on their tour and how they find the way to compromise and resolve their issues, don’t miss Kiss Me, Katie by Monica Tillery.
