REVIEW: Lawless by Diana Palmer

In Lawless by Diana Palmer, Texas Ranger Judd Dunn married 16 year-old Christabel Gaines in secret wedding after putting her father in prison for beating her. Judd tried to Llessstop her father, but he was too late for she was already badly injured. She was then left alone to care of her invalid mother and care for the ranch her father and Judd’s uncle owned.

Now Christabel’s twenty first birthday is coming up and Judd plans to annul their in-name-only marriage. Only she has been in love with Judd for many years and doesn’t want their marriage to end, but Judd insists that he will never touch her.

When a film crew comes into town and Judd gets involved with the lead actress, Christabel turns to her new friend Cash Grier as a distraction. And even thought Judd wants the actress, there is something that he cannot stand about Cash spending so much time with Christabel.

If you have read Diana Palmer before you know this is not just a love story without a little danger. And so comes in a vengeful ex-employee that will make things more complicated than they already are. Which will make Judd realize what he could lose if he lets Christabel go without a fight.

Just in case anybody starts complaining, yes this is a re-print so make sure you haven’t already got it. But believe me reading her books again is always a pleasure.

I love Lawless by Diana Palmer. I have read it a few times and always enjoy it. You have me wanting to read it again. My copy is getting worn so I definitely need to buy the reprint.

I loved this when I read it several years ago. I love her older books but the new books she has written in the last couple of years I have not enjoyed as much. I still read them but I get them at the library instead of buying it.
