Make Me Wilder by Serena Bell: After an unfortunate snafu involving her boss and said bosses boyfriend Lucy finds herself heading to the one place she hates the most; a small town! However after the ‘situation’ Lucy is forced to get out of the city and refocus on creating her own marketing company, she just never saw Gabe coming. After having being told that she never puts herself out there or makes friends Lucy decides to take a risk and try doing things a bit differently while in Rush Creek after all its only temporary right?

“He was feeling it, too. He might have been pretending to be all business, but he was torn. He wanted me as much as I wanted him. I shouldn’t be so glad, but my drunken tingly bits are ready to celebrate with confetti.”

Wilder Family Adventures means the world to Gabe, not only does it provide the bread and butter for his entire family but it is also his last link to his late father. However with Rush Creek having turned into the new most wanted hipster wedding and spa destination most of the new tourist don’t want to get down and dirty pushing Wilder Adventures into a bit of a hard spot. He just never expected his mother to ambush him by hiring a marketing consultant to help market Wilder to a more female audience.

“How can it be that the future of my outdoor adventuring business is in the hands of a woman who doesn’t know how to go outside?”

Fully prepared to give this consultant hell, Gabe just never expected it to be the hot blonde, stiletto, silk blouse wearing city girl who tried to save a bunch of little ducklings in a rain storm. With their chemistry and pull constantly drawing Lucy and Gabe together soon neither is able to deny that they are actually perfect for each other but what will happen with the deadline on Lucy’s time in Rush Creek fast approaching?

“Home’s the place you can’t forget.”

Just take my money! This book was EVERYTHING and more! It has been a long, long time since I loved a book as much I did reading Make Me Wilder! I am such a sucker for the opposites attract trope and Lucy and Gabe just played into this role down to a tee, the posh city girl falling for the rough and tumble outdoorsman.

“Gah, look at him. Gabe is as competent at survival as he is at everything else he does. I stop behind a tree and watch, hoping I don’t get caught shamelessly engaging in outdoor adventure porn.”

I absolutely loved Lucy and Gabe’s first meeting, talk about meet cute right there! Both these characters were amazing, I loved that we got to see both of them grow together, as much as they were opposites they had a lot in common, especially their fear of being hurt again. Lucy was amazing I loved her tenacity and that she pushed herself out of her comfort zone trying each of the brothers activities, even the ones that just did not pan out. As for our boy Gabe, who doesn’t love a protective guy that is working the whole wilderness vibe? I really liked getting to see him open himself up to Lucy and opening his heart to love again.

“Gabe without a shirt on is… Pretty sure I counted at least an eight pack before I realized that I was edging over into gaping , and raised my gaze back to eye level. But it took me a minute to get there because between the eight pack and his oh-so-serious, intense face were these gorgeous, golden just-right pecs, with a perfect smattering of hair. I wanted to look back down, to check out the matching trail to paradise, but I got stuck again on his dark gaze, which was… Hungry.”

Secondary characters are always a huge part of a great story and the entire Wilder clan were knockouts! I loved that family was such a huge theme of this book and that each member played their own little part. Also who doesn’t love a cute small town and their togetherness? I really liked that Lucy and her mother both healed from their bad past regarding small town living, after all Rush Creek really is the cutest place.

Make Me Wilder has firmly placed itself in my top 5 best books of 2021! Thus super cute opposites attract romcom is an absolute MUST read! If you enjoyed Sarah Morgenthaler’s The Tourist Attraction you will absolutely eat up this perfect romance by Serena Bell! I’m already counting down the days till we get the next book in the Wilder Adventures series!

QOTD: Do you like doing adventure trails and wilderness weekends or are you more of a spa and glamping person?

This tent is too small for the both of us. And I like it that way.

Gabe
I was minding my business. Literally. I promised my dad I’d take care of the Wilder family adventure business in our little Oregon town of Rush Creek, which also means looking out for my mom, my sister, and my rowdy co-workers, AKA my brothers.

Now the business is in trouble. Overnight, Rush Creek has become a spa-and-wedding destination, and the new tourists aren’t interested in getting dirty—or at least not in the woods.

Then Lucy comes to town, all blond hair and silky blouses and spike heels. It’s her job to give Wilder Adventures a makeover. Camping to glamping, rafting to paddle board yoga, fishing trips to girls’ night sunset cruises. If she gets her way, Wilder Adventures will become Wilder Romantic Adventures.

Lucy hates small towns, getting messy, and anything involving the woods or the water—which pretty much makes her Not My Type.

That doesn’t explain why when I see her, I can’t look away. Why when I touch her, I can’t stop. And why, even though I know no one can talk a city girl into small town life, I’m still trying.

She’s driving me wild. All I can do is make her wilder
