Miles’s life fell apart after Lucy quit working as his assistant. He needs her back at Triada keeping his life organized as only she can. He couldn’t believe she had quit, and he thought he could convince her to return if he doubled her salary. But she was not moved by the money, so he decides to travel with her and convince her. He was sure she wouldn’t last more than one or two days into their trip. Imagine his surprise when she didn’t give up and accumulated thousands of followers on her Instagram.
As they continue on the trip Miles starts to see the real Lucy, but he won’t let himself fall for her. After seeing his mother fall in love over and over again with the wrong person, he never wants to fall in love and end up broken.
I really enjoyed this book, and it is certainly one of my top favorite books for this year. I loved the original storyline, and you can tell the author did a lot of research on the places to visit along Route 66. While road trips are always fun, this one was full of funny scenarios and witty banter between Lucy and Miles. The book was hilarious, full of sparks, and very entertaining. This book set the bar high, and I cannot wait for the other brothers’ books.
