Mine by HelenKay Dimon: Natalie rose to lead a black ops team in the CIA and when she Mineuncovered a mole in her team, she took the steps to protect her team at the expense of her own job. Now she’s negotiated her exit from her job and faced with the very likely possibility that someone in the CIA will attempt to take her out. She’s prepared to go on the run and start her life completely over, but that plan doesn’t include the sexy and commanding Gabe as her bodyguard.

Gabe has been hired to protect Natalie until they can be assured she’s safe and not of interest to the CIA. Gabe was a sniper in the military and now runs his own security company with the help of his younger brother, Andy. He rarely takes on protection jobs himself, but he’s been drawn to the independent Natalie from the beginning.

She leaned forward, not a big change in position. No, very subtle, almost imperceptible. “Excuse me?”
He cleared his throat. “For now. Until we know you’re out of danger. I decide what happens with you.”

From the beginning, Natalie fights him. She’s not used to trusting anyone with her safety or men in general. So, she challenges him and makes protecting her more difficult. After retreating to a safe house, Gabe and Natalie have plenty of time on their hands and little to do. Their undeniable chemistry roars to the surface with their forced proximity.

Natalie shows just how competent she is in all aspects, showing she retained her skills while holding a more administrative role. Gabe loves how well she matches and challenges him. Both are incredibly loyal, brave, and very private. They keep their cards close to the vest and don’t let others in. They longer they spend together, the more Gabe wants Natalie’s trust and for her to let go.

“Nat, baby.” With a gentle tug he pulled her in closer. His hands went to the small of her back. Anything to touch her, the feel the comfort of her skin and smell her shampoo. “We are going to disappoint each other, grate on each other, fight each other.”
“You’re not selling this very well.”

Mine is a thrilling and sexy story that had me hooked from the first chapter. HelenKay Dimon provided a strong, independent, and competent heroine in Natalie who gave Gabe a run for his money. Ms. Dimon also provided really interesting secondary characters in Andy, Brandon, and Eli. Mine can be read as a standalone in this series. Fans of Beth Kery and Meredith Wild will enjoy Mine.

Praised for her “hot and bold”(Kirkus Reviews) romances of erotic intrigue, the author of Only and Mercy now delivers her most daring novel yet…

She doesn’t depend on anyone for anything. He intends to make her his completely.

Natalie Udall thought her position at the CIA was secure—until protecting her team earned her an armed escort into certain danger. Natalie can’t stand the idea of being secreted away in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, especially since it means sharing close quarters with the controlling bodyguard enlisted to keep her alive.

Gabe MacIntosh joined the military to support his son, trained as a sniper and dealt with death on a regular basis. Now retired and operating a security firm, his first assignment is to protect a CIA agent on the run. She’s strong willed and difficult—and all Gabe can think about is exerting his domination and stripping her of every expectation she has.

Natalie has no intention of giving in to Gabe’s straightforward demands of dominant sex with no attachments—even though the very idea of giving up control thrills her like nothing ever has…
