Miss Matched by Wendy Million: Dating is hard at the best of times but with failed relationship after failed relationship Tayla is just about done with dipping her toes into the the swampy waters called the dating pool, which is why she turns her attention to the next best thing a soul mate match making service. Never mind the hefty chunk of change it cost her to join this supposed cutting edge infallible match making program, there comes a time when a girl just has to do what she has to do and for Talya this was the moment.
Too bad it would seem this amazing match making program seems to have one major glitch in it when it pairs Tayla with non other than her worst ever ex, Simon. The very same guy that left her broken hearted when he called off their engagement. So this was a total bust, wanting to cut her losses and get her money back, Tayla has no choice but to team up with Simon to try and prove that the algorithm was wrong, Simons only condition; date him for a month to prove that they really are not a perfect match… should be easy right after all he did crush her heart? To bad Tanya has no idea that Simon plans on using this month to win her back… could the algorithm have been right all along?
Miss Matched was just perfection, I loved this book big time. This was one of those books that you really did not want to put down. With the perfect combination of second chance love, love turned to hate turned to love again and load of cute moments it was impossible not to get wrapped up in Tayla and Simons story.
It was super easy to connect with Tayla, not only was she a great leading lady but I loved how relatable her character came across. I think her struggle to find true love was portrayed in a very real and natural manner that made her story feel genuine. Also I just loved the fact that she was a veterinarian, this was a major plus for her character in my books, its always nice to see female vets as an animal lover. I completely understood her reasoning for wanting to keep Simon at arms length and why it took her so long to forgive him. As for our grovelling hero, well Simon had me on the fence for most of the book, do I like him or do I want to slap him, this was the question. Ultimately I could not help but warm up to him as the book progressed. I will say that there were moments that he seemed very immature, for instance he really should have told Tanya the whole reason for calling of the engagement. Nevertheless things all work out in the end for this cute couple.
The pull between Simon and Tayla was just incredible, there was so much past tension and chemistry brewing between them that it made it impossible not to get invested in their journey to finding their way back to each other. I loved all the angst and tension that built up between them and that even with all these unresolved feelings and emotions their connection was still incredibly strong. The entire second chance at love trope really worked for them in the sense that they had the right love but at the wrong time, this only made seeing their reconnection all the more sweet this time round. I really enjoyed getting to see them work through their past hurts, insecurities and fears.
Miss Matched is definitely a book that I would recommend, for the most part this was a cute light second chance romance but Million adds in a few more heavy topics as the book progresses to keep things more dynamic and interesting.

When matchmaking software pairs a woman with her worst ex, she gets a unique second chance to connect with the love of her life.
After years of bad dates, Tayla Murphy has decided it’s finally time she found her ideal partner, so she pays a hefty fee for a cutting-edge “soulmate” matching service. But the infallible algorithm must have a serious glitch, because it pairs her with the one man on Earth she never wants to see Simon―the man who left her heart in pieces when he broke off their engagement six years ago. Tayla would rather cut her losses, but if she’s going to move forward with her life, she needs the money back.
Then Simon shows up on her doorstep, promising Tayla he can get her a refund by showing the service that the match was wrong. But he wants her to really prove they aren’t meant to be―by dating him for the next month. Even though he thinks the service is a fraud, Simon has been desperate for a second chance with Tayla ever since he messed up their shot at happily-ever-after. They still have an amazing connection, but a lot has happened in the time they were apart. So is this a mismatch or a perfect match?
