In Mogul by Katy Evans, One hot flirtation in a taxi and one fantastic, earth shattering night in room 1103 at the Four Seasons, and Sara Davies is hooked on her mystery man. But therein lies the problem. Hooking up with Mr. Workaholic was supposed to be a one-off of epic proportions with no regrets, no second night together. Although even after a couple of months go by, she still can’t seem get him out of her mind. So seeing him out of the blue in Central Park one day sends Sara reeling. And realizing their chemistry has only gotten hotter–if that’s possible–in their absence. Finding out her dream guy’s name is Ian Ford is one thing. Trying to make a go of a casual but exclusive relationship with him is something totally different. Sara has the feeling that she’s the one with the most to lose in the situation. But is it still worth the chance?

‘No matter how much of a cynic busy city life makes a girl, I guess there’s always that tiny little romantic inside of us that survives.’

Personal life a mess and professional life on track seems to be the status quo for Ian these days. And wouldn’t you know that fate would throw a temptation like no other his way when he wasn’t expecting it in the least. Sara is exactly that: temptation, sin, seduction, and pleasure all rolled into one. Now is certainly not the best time for Ian to fall for a mouthy but endearing woman who could easily melt his hardened heart. But one night with Sara and he knows. No matter what hardships he’s faced in the past or what he has to do in order to make things right, Ian will find a way to win Sara, heart, body, and soul.

I groan in her ear. “I can’t seem to get enough of you, kitten. Should we go at it all night?”
She slits her eyes as she looks at me, a greedy little smile appearing on her face as she licks her lips.

Katy Evans brought the sexy with her newest novel Mogul, where a one-night stand turned into oh-so much more for two people on the cusp of major changes in their lives.

‘Love can be lost at any moment, but it can also be found.
It can change and grow and shine and hurt, the way sometimes beauty hurts. But its mark is permanent.
Its power infinite.
You just need to open up and let it out, because when you open those doors, love can’t help but come in.’

Katy Evans is one of my go-to authors for romance. She just has this honest way about writing emotions, inner monologues, and even love scenes that always makes me run through every thought and feeling our characters experience. Sara and Ian were no exception to this rule. I adored them both and thought they were crazy hot together, just like all of the couples Evans creates. But, wow, were they a steamy pair! Considering that this story began with Ian and Sara hooking up for a supposed one-off, things got hot and heavy right from the start. I’ll be honest that although I loved their connection and the HEA they so deservedly received, I almost, maybe, possibly felt that there should have been a bit more development in their relationship and maybe, perhaps fewer love scenes. (I can’t believe I just said that!) But it did seem like the focus was on the sex instead of the growing attraction and emotions between Sara and Ian, which is a little unusual for Evans’ work.

Mogul can be read on its own, however, if you’ve read Tycoon then you’ve already met Sara and briefly saw Ian. It was such fun getting to really know Sara here, to see her in all her sassy, full of New York attitude, glory. What a potty mouth she had on her! I found it very fitting of her personality and her location but some people may not like it so much. I think what hit me most was how blatantly honest Sara was. She let it all out and was right up front with Ian–something I think he respected in her. Ian was, in my humble opinion, the best type of alpha male: smart, handsome, had a good heart, was loyal, had a touch of ego, and stood up for what he believed. He was going through a truly tough time personally when Sara came into his life, so it was intense at times watching Ian sort his way through the changes. But it felt like he learned a lot about himself and what he had to offer in a relationship.

A lusty contemporary romance right on the edge of being erotic, Mogul will have readers zipping through the pages, falling head over heels in love with both the hero *and* the heroine, and counting the days until Katy Evans’ next book comes out.

A brand new contemporary romance from New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans.

He’s my most delicious secret.
The hot Suit I had a one-night stand with one evening.
I didn’t know anything about him, not even his name.
Only that we shared a taxi, and he was staying at the hotel where I worked.
We met in room 1103. Where he commanded not only my body but my soul.
The next day he was gone and I only had a memory of him.
I could still taste his kisses, feel his demanding touch.
I searched for him for months. Daydreaming about him. Wondering if I’d ever find him.
Until the day I find myself staring face to face with his jeweled black eyes again.
He says lets keep it casual, and my heart knows that falling for this workaholic in a three-thousand-dollar suit is off the table.
Because he has a secret. One that’s a deal breaker for me.
My Suit has a name.
Ian Ford.
And this is our story.

*This book is connected to Tycoon, but it can also be read as standalone.
