Moonshot by Alessandra Torre: Tyler grew up on the road and in the dugout while she Moonshottraveled with her father as the star closer for the Yankees. She can’t imagine her life away from the team and plans to continue working for her beloved pinstripes after graduating high school. The team, players, and management became Tyler’s family. Things changed when Chase Stern arrived. The hotshot player changed the dynamic since he’s the one player that captivated Ty. She’s captivated by his talent, grace on the field, and smoking hot good looks.

Chase has dreamed of playing for the Yankees and retiring as one of their greats. He’s thrilled to finally be traded and been warned to be on his best behavior following a scandal. Except the only girl he absolutely must stay away from is the one who captures his full attention.

Ty and Chase start spending time together. They try friendship first due to her age, but they also can’t stay away from each other. Their attraction burns bright, but a relationships doesn’t seem possible with her overprotective father warning her away from Chase.

First loves were supposed to be flimsy and temperamental. They were supposed to burn bright and fade fast. There weren’t supposed to stick.

They shared something that is pure and intense, but they also learn that life can be beautiful one moment and devastating the next as there are unexpected twists and turns. Both are committed to bringing home a World Series title for the team, the fans, the curse, and most importantly, for Ty. Ty has dedicated her life to the Yankee’s, but she’s torn between the only life she’s ever known and a love she can’t forget.

Stupid to feel such attachment to an organization. But the Yankees weren’t just an organization. They were a life force, etched in tradition and history, fortunes, fates and days made on the backs of some of the greatest bats to ever swing in the country.

Moonshot is a brilliantly crafted story that pulled me in from the very first page. Alessandra Torre weaved together the past and present with hints as to what the future holds in such a way that keeps you guessing as to just how this story will end. Ms. Torre created great characters, conflict, heat, tension, anticipation, and mystery with surprises along the way. Fans of Megan Hart, S.C. Stephens, and Jasinda Wilder will enjoy Moonshot.

Baseball isn’t supposed to be a game of life and death…

The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase… he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.

I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.

Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my world broke apart.
