One Sizzling Night by Jo Leigh is an enjoyable read, filled with secrets, One-Sizzling-Nighttemptations, and passion.

Logan is in Boston for a security conference. While he’s there he will be trying out a “smart” apartment, courtesy of an old college buddy. Imagine his surprise when he realizes he won’t be the only one in the apartment. Kensey will be sharing the apartment with him while she’s in town. Kensey is on a mission to prove her father never stole the “degas” painting and to do that she needs to prove that someone else has it. Kensey has a feeling she knows who has the painting and she’s willing to prove it, any way she can.

Logan and Kensey are both attracted to each other and eventually they decide to do something about the attraction. The more they are together, the more other feelings come into play.

“She couldn’t remember ever being with a man and feeling relaxed enough to let her guard down. It was easy to do with Logan. Maybe too easy.”

Logan needs to win the security contract from Ian Hostrom, but when he finds out Kensey is targeting the same man that can make his project a success, all bets are off.

I liked Kensey as a character. I loved how he she went to bat for her father and went through so much just to prove he never stole the painting, even though they haven’t spoken in ten years. She believes her father never cared about her and still she did what she did. Kensey is definitely someone I would want on my side.

I loved the secondary characters. Kensey’s boss and friend, Neil was a highlight for me, as well as the creator of the “smart” apartment, Sam. I would love to read about both of them in future books.

Overall, One Sizzling Night was pleasurable read with entertaining characters and an intriguing plot. The author was able to keep my attention throughout the whole book and make me care about her characters.

First come lies

Then comes temptation…

Former Black Ops soldier Logan McCabe is in high-tech heaven. The “smart” apartment he’s staying at has it all—luxurious amenities, walls that change color, and a seductive and nearly naked woman in the living room. Now, that’s everything a man can ask for. Except Kensey Roberts is no pixel pinup…and the sexual tension between them is most assuredly real.

Kensey is in way over her head. She’s undercover to expose a possible art thief and clear her absentee father’s name. She doesn’t need a distraction—especially the ex-military, crazy-sexy hot kind. “Captain McBabe” is over six feet of pure, delicious temptation. But one sizzling night won’t just compromise her reputation…it could blow her cover sky-high.
