Revealing Her Best Kept Secret is the exciting new release by Heidi Rice which I very much enjoyed.

Handsome billionaire Brandon Cade is very reluctant to let any reporters into his life but to try and mitigate the scandal his ex has caused; after considerate negotiations he’s allowed one magazine to interview him. When Lacey nervously enters his office, like she’s about to be eaten alive, he’s curious. Why? There’s something about Lacey he can’t quite put his finger on. No one is more surprised than himself when he hears himself invite Lacey as his plus one to a ball in Paris. Reluctantly Lacey accepts the offer and off they jet to Paris, both unaware this trip is going to be lifechanging in so many ways.

Lacey knows exactly who Brandon is, he’s unforgettable. Their one night together 5 years ago is seared in her memory. Not only for the memorable experience with the billionaire but also because the hot one night stand result of the night was their little daughter Ruby. But it also ruined her professional life when Brandon black listed her after. Knowing she shouldn’t accept, Lacey can’t help it. Time has done nothing to ease the electric bond that is still fizzing and it’s not long before they answer the sizzle; with life changing consequences.

I love Heidi Rice’s writing style. She’s so fun but at the same time is able to add layers of emotion and crackling tension which bring her interesting characters to life on the page. Like a puppet master she throws all she can at two people who accept challenge after challenge and I’m here for it. Brandon was a brilliantly cast hero who took charge when he needed; despite being furious with Lacey. He was open and closed at the same time but his true self shone through. Lacey was a really lovely heroine. Despite the secret she kept, it made sense why she did and I like the time gap – it was enough to give Ruby some personality which I liked. Lacey wore her heart on her sleeve and wasn’t about to be treated like a doormat. Together the pages came alive.

I really enjoyed this fast paced and sizzling story and I’d highly recommend it to everyone who’s looking for some fun with a good dashing of emotion and sizzle.
