Rocky Mountain Romance (Six Pack Ranch #7) by Vivian Arend: I am so glad I got the opportunity to read this book because now I am hooked on the characters and plan on reading the rest of the series in the very near future. In fact, at the time of this writing, Rocky Mountain Heat, the first book in the series is free on Amazon. I have been a fan of Ms. Arend’s for quite some time and always enjoy whatever she writes.
This book and series is about the Colemans, an extended family of ranchers located in the Rocky Mountain House area of Alberta, Canada. Each contemporary story focuses on the love life of a member of the family and Steve Coleman is the star of this show. The love of his life, veterinarian Melody Langley, returns to town after spending a year in the trenches learning how to treat large animals. She works at the local vet clinic with her boss and mentor, Mathis Wisniewski, another vet and an office manager. Steve and Melody were in a quasi-relationship for a while, but due to Steve’s poor attitude and lack of caring about anything, Melody publicly broke up with him before she left. The town has never forgotten how Melody dumped a pitcher of beer over Steve’s head.
Steve has matured and changed a lot in the past year and as a result, he wants Melody to give him a second chance. He is successful, and slowly but surely he earns her trust and they begin seeing each other once again. This time their relationship is truly a partnership and the passion they have for each other is beyond vanilla. Steve is there for Melody and helps her deal with some of the chauvinistic ranchers as well as providing her with a huge family to call her own.
I enjoyed this romance and the book cover is beautiful. I found Ms. Arend’s writing style to be both calming and soothing, even when the characters were going through a tough situation. At all times, I felt like I was a member of the Coleman clan, relishing in the hominess that a large family who gets along evokes. Overall, this is a well-written book, with realistic characters, and a couple that is not only hot, but down to earth as well.

It took a spectacularly embarrassing break-up to knock Steve Moonshine Coleman off his lazy butt. In the ten months since that night, he’s changed his ways, and now that Melody’s back in town, it’s time for this sweet-talking cowboy to convince her to get back in the saddle with him.
A return to her veterinary position in Rocky Mountain House was always in the cards for Melody Langley. Getting back together with Steve? Never part of the plan. He had lots of potential but zero ambition, and there’s no way she’ll accept anything less than a man who can keep up with her, in and out of bed.
But the new-and-improved cowboy is impossible to resist, so Melody issues a challenge. Three months to prove he’s reformed. Three months of Steve orchestrating one sexual indulgence after another—wicked distractions from the old boys’ club Melody faces at work and Steve’s growing responsibilities.
He’s got one shot to prove with more than words what’s in his heart and soul.

I’m currently reading the series. I’m on book 4, Gabe and Allison’s story. My favorite so far is Jaxi and Blake’s story. It was a hoot!
I’m hooked on the series. Wow, I didn’t know there was a 7th book out. I’ll have to pick it up. I’ll be looking forward to Steven’s story. I agree, it’s a pleasure to see how the families interact and take care of each other. Sweeet!

I’ve read everything except this story in this series. I’ve been hooked since the very first book.
I’d like to say that I have a favourite, but every Coleman makes their book a good read in their own special way.
