Say I Do in Good Hope by Cindy Kirk: When Kyle bought a house, he didn’t expect for it to come with a woman. Eliza refuses to leave her family home, not when her father sold it out from under her even though her grandmother promised it would be hers. Since Kyle only plans on being in town for a few months, he’s willing enough to go along with the joint living arrangements.
But close contact breeds a much closer relationship than either ever expected. Eliza isn’t exactly the most open person, especially not after the man she had loved for so long chose someone else. But Kyle sees a softness and a sweetness mixed with all the badass that she is that he can’t help but fall for.
Kyle reignites Eliza’s belief in love. He stands strong by her when others, especially her father, haven’t. But what can they ever really become when Kyle is only in town for a few short months.
I highly enjoyed this community and Kyle and Eliza’s romance. He was pretty much a total sweetheart. I’m not going to call him the sexiest hero, but he fit for Eliza. She, on the other hand, was a bit of a hardass and a badass, and I surprisingly loved her for it.
I always love entering the close knit, small town from an outsider’s perspective, and seeing Kyle find his place in the town was lovely. I definitely want to read the previous romances in this series to get a stronger sense of Good Hope.
Overall, for those who love the roommate novel – such as myself – I recommend Say I do in Good Hope. Eliza and Kyle fit to a T.

Sometimes love is right on your doorstep…
Eliza Shaw has never met a crisis she couldn’t manage. If her father thinks she’s going to take his attempt at selling the family home out from underneath her, then he clearly doesn’t know her at all. She‘ll chain herself to the banister if she has to…
Kyle Kendrick doesn’t have time for the hassle of an eviction. He definitely doesn’t have time for Eliza Shaw’s drama – even if she does look distractingly gorgeous when she’s furious. His sister is arriving in Good Hope and he needs a home. Now.
Neither Kyle nor Eliza is thrilled at the idea of sharing the house, but it’s the only sensible solution. Now if they could each just stop fantasizing about their new roommate this crazy plan might just work. And if they’re lucky, what started out as playing house could end up giving them the home and family they’ve both desperately yearned for.
