Say Something by Mari Carr: Taking place over a year, Georgie is on a New Year’s resolution mission to apologize to the men she left at the altar. The first two men were obvious mistakes, the results of her free-spirited mistakes, but the last, Nick, was far more.
When she runs into Nick one night, after a year of him angry and ignoring her, Nick decides he needs her back in his life, even if it’s just as friends.
Georgie and Nick are complete opposites. Her the wild child and he the strait-laced lawyer, and yet they’re perfect for each other. But neither knows if they can handle a relationship again, let alone a friendship.
“‘Will you stay with me? Just for a little while?’
Nick glanced at the door. He could be out of his this room, down the stairs and back on the street in less than twenty steps. Then he looked at her once more and gruffly said ‘Scoot over.’”
Say Something is short, sweet, and I quite liked it. Nick is adorably confused about Georgie, not knowing what to do with her or about his feelings towards her after being left at the altar over a year ago.
Georgie was a little on the annoying side with her wishy washy attitude, only explained by the end and by then it was too late for me to appreciate it enough. But I liked her growth as she apologized to each man and spent more time with Nick, forgiving herself as he forgave her.
Say Something by Mari Carr a story I would recommend for any romance reader looking for a cute and simple ride, with some wilder bedroom antics.

Third mistake’s a charm.
Second Chances, Book 6
Georgie Russell has always been a full-steam-ahead, spur-of-the-moment, no-looking-back kind of girl. But as midnight on New Year’s Eve rolls around with her friends coming up with wine-induced, second-chance goals, all eyes turn to her.
They all know her “runaway bride” history. Three exes attest to her aversion to vows of any kind. Maybe it’s time she tried to make amends, especially to ex-fiancé number three. The one she literally left at the altar—Nick Hammel.
Nick has spent the better part of a year working overtime to get over Georgie. As a divorce attorney surrounded by broken marriages day in and day out, he figures she did him a favor.
But when they wind up at the same bar one night, he realizes he hasn’t moved on at all. All it takes is the feel of her arms around him, and his heart is ready to jump out of the lonely frying pan to get close to her fire…even if it means risking another serious burn.
Warning: Contains a free-spirited florist who knows a thing or two about sowing wild oats, and a jaded divorce lawyer who thinks it might be worth risking a few thorns to stop and smell her roses. Best accompanied by a glass of wine or (and) a couple of lemon drop shots.
