Secret Past by Sheree Stover: Can you imagine finding out as an adult that your life is not at all what you thought it was, that your past has been “created” for you? That is what Katie experiences at the beginning and throughout “Secret Past”.

Learning that she grew up in Witness Protection because her mother escaped danger in fleeing Katie’s mobster father, comes as a deep shock to Katie while grieving her mother’s death from cancer. Now, her father, newly released from prison, is sending his “men” to bring his daughter to him, and Katie must rely on US Marshal Daniel to keep her safe.

Ms. Stover weaves’ an extremely suspenseful tale as Katie and Daniel desperately work to escape the evil men chasing her, and to figure out how to stay alive. Katie strives to reconcile what she has been told by her mother, with what she is now learning about her father and brother.

I do not wish to provide any spoilers, but I do want to highly recommend that fellow readers read “Secret Past”, for a fast-paced and enjoyable novel!
