Stinger by Mia Sheridan Grace and Carson’s first meeting was less than perfect, but everything changes while the two of them get stuck in an
elevator… They are both in Vegas for two very different conferences, Grace for a law students conference and Carson for an adult entertainers expo. The two could not possibly be from two more different worlds but there is a spark right from their first meeting, one that Fate has decided to give a second chance. Sparks begin to fly while the two are stuck in the elevator, so much so that rule following planner Grace decided to throw caution to the wind and indulge in one wild passionate weekend with Carson. It was only supposed to be one wild weekend together but what happens when feelings begin to get involved? Can these two very different people merge their two very different worlds?

Stinger was such an amazing read, this book was so much more than a steamy opposites attract romance, I loved the twist that came half way through in this book and that it made way for one emotionally beautiful second chance love story. Stinger really was one of Sheridan’s best books, I loved the angst and passion that built between Grace and Carson. Sheridan truly has a great writing style and managed to lace in some comedy into a heartwarming second chance love story.

“Sometimes you don’t even realize anything is wrong until someone comes along and changes you, and makes you want more.”

Grace was a great leading lady, I really enjoyed getting to see her character grow as the book progressed. She started out out as a huge people pleaser, wanting to make everyone around her happy even if it meant neglecting herself, but after meeting Carson this changed and I loved that he was the one to help her realise that she needs to put herself first and not feel guilty about doing this. As for our charming hero Carson, well there was nothing not to like about this guy. He was so much more than his job and if anything a prime example not to judge a book by its cover. For all his confidence and bravado he is really hiding his pain and the hurt that he has had to carry around with him all this life. I really liked that he brought down these walls around Grace and that she helped him change the way he looked at life and really helped him want to be a better version of himself. As much as I loved the fiery chemistry between these two, I loved the fact that they helped heal each and help each other become their best versions.

“Lose control, baby. Just for a weekend. Let me take charge. I’ll take good care of you, I promise.”

I just loved these two together. They had such amazing chemistry that it was impossible not to root them on as their feelings developed. By gosh did they have one steamy weekend together, but aside from the sexual side of their relationship, I loved that they clicked emotionally so easily. They really did fall for each other fast and this only made seeing them part way all the more sad to read but never fear Sheridan delivers a beautiful ending, granted we do have one hell of a twist thrown into the mix! There is a huge twist that I did not see coming in the second half of this book, that I will not spoil for anyone, all I will say is that it all works out in the end.

Stinger was steamy hot, emotionally moving, fully of hope and an all round great read.
