The Accidental Boyfriend by Maggie Dallen: After tragedy occurred a year ago, Holly set accidental-boyfriend-maggie-dallenher mind to picking Mr. Perfect, the stable guy good as a husband and father. Except, the guy she’s knows is the one, her long time best friend, isn’t interested…And everyone else agrees he’s all wrong for her. But at least she knows one guy it could in no way be, the billionaire tech-genius playboy Jack, and also the guy she can’t seem to keep her hands off.

When Jack finds her in Paris, at the request of Holly’s sister, he knows he’s attracted, but he also knows he’s all wrong for the woman who wants commitment. With a troubled past with his family, Jack doesn’t believe he can ever be the stable guy she needs. If only he could keep his hands off her…and stop enjoying her company so much.

“Holly.” Her name sounded like a question and a statement all at once. He moved just a little closer. Close enough for her to feel his warmth and smell his light, intoxicating cologne. She turned toward him and felt his hand brush against her wrist.
That was all it took. That slight touch broke down the physical barrier between them and she was in his arms as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

A cute read, I enjoyed getting to know Holly and Jack, especially getting Jack’s story after the first in the Chance Romance series. For such a short read, Dallen gave me a whole lot of romance and depth. That said, their romance and arcs could definitely have used a longer story. Plus, the storyline with her supposed-Mr. Perfect went on a little too long and too strongly for me. I wanted to focus more on Jack and Holly then Holly’s fake romance.

But what I really liked about The Accidental Boyfriend is that Holly and Jack are so similar. I feel all I read are opposites attract, which don’t get me wrong I totally love, but I liked how their romance had a different spin to it with them both having been the love ‘em and leave ‘em type.

As they spend time in Paris together, the tension between the two is irresistible and I just love it once they finally give in. As they support one another through each other’s pains, too, you get the sweet that makes you love Jack and Holly as a couple. I highly recommend The Accidental Boyfriend for any reader wanting a short and fun read. It can be read as a standalone, but after you enjoy Holly and Jack I’m sure you’ll want to give Ivy and Daniel a chance.
