The Alphahole’s Guide to Marrying Your Enemy by Piper Marlowe: You would think that getting your own mother to sell you a run down, bird poo infested warehouse would be a cake walk, right? Well for Max it would seem that this is mission impossible, with his hippy dippy mother claiming that his bad vibes and out of sink charkra’s will harm the aura of the old building if he gets his hands on it, which is why she will most definitely not be selling to him unless he can prove to her that he actually cares about something more than money and himself. And what better way to prove to dear ol mum that he is well on his way to spiritual wellness and that he has an actual heart than to get married, right? And who better to marry than the most annoying woman in town Sydney Taylor. There is absolutely no way that Max would ever fall for Sydney Taylor!

The fake relationship trope is an all time favorite of mine and Piper Marlowe has really knocked it out go the park with the last instalment of the Guide To series. This hilariously cute romcom was the perfect way to tie up a super cute series giving us one last look into each of these three reformed playboys lives now that they have found love.

I think its easy to say that Max and Sydney have been my favourite couple of the series, I loved their steamy love-hate banter and that neither could help but fall for the other. These two could not be more different from each other but at the same time having so much in common. It was such a treat getting to see these two falling in love without really realising it. The way they pushed each others buttons just to get a rise out of each other only made their connection all the more steamy.

I really liked Sydney, not only was she so determined to break the stuffy princess mould but she was genuinely a really good person that wanted to make a difference in the world. I really admired her determination to help launch the bio-eye technology and that she went as far as to fake marry Max to help get her friend the funding needed. For me personally I really enjoyed the fact that Sydney was a journalist and that her natural born curiosity helped in unwrapping all the layers that surrounded Max.

Who doesn’t just love watching a playboy falling head over heels? Well this is exactly what happens with our guy Max. I loved getting to see him find his softer side and really embracing it more so when he realises that its his only way to prove to Sydney that he is worthy of a second chance. I also really enjoyed getting to see Max and his mother interact, gosh Maryann was just a hoot!

The Alphahole’s Guide To Marrying The Enemy is a total must read, this silly cute enemies to lovers romcom was the perfect combination of sassy banter, laugh out loud zingers and one hot will they or won’t they relationship.

The Brooklyn warehouse is empty. Filled with graffiti and pigeon poo. It’s practically begging to be converted into luxury loft apartments.
And yet, will my mother sell it to me, her only son, the investment wunderkind?

“Darling, buildings have souls,” she says, between sips of green juice.
“Show me that you’re on the path to spiritual wellness, and I’ll give it to you.”

Enter Sydney Taylor, my best friend’s little sister, spiritually well enough for even my mother’s past selves to approve of, and my least favorite person on earth…in this life or any of the others I’ve supposedly lived. I wouldn’t date her if she was the last woman on earth. I’ve repeatedly fantasized about shipping her to Mars.

Instead, I marry her.

I know, I know, my crew has quite the history with phony relationships, but this one’s different.
No matter what my mother sees in our auras.
Or how much I want to hate-boink her maddeningly sweet little…

Yep, once my mother signs over that building, I’m definitely going to walk away from this hot-fakery totally unscathed.
And if you buy that, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
