The Billionaire’s Accidental Legacy by Millie Adams is one of the most unique, fun and totally exciting story I have read this year.

I can’t think where to begin with what I enjoyed about Jessie and Ewan’s story. Jessie is a pro poker player. That in itself is woah! How refreshing! Her love Ewan is also a pro poker player but he does it for completely different reasons to Jessie. After dancing around each other in wild locations they face their attraction and boom! I adored Jessie’s character. She was fun, kick ass and willing to take that one huge risk with Ewan.

Swirling in the background is the drama and intrigue of why she and her sister are pro poker players, why they are darting around the world only settling when Jessie wins Ewan’s Scottish title and land. When the past and the future come hurtling Jessies way, Ewan to the rescue.

A stunning story with a stunning cover! Millie Adams has captured elements I love about Harlequins. A fun but dramatic and unique plot. Super fantastic characters in a luxurious and unimaginable world that really does sweep you away. Wrapped up with drama and intrigue and tied with an emotional bow.

Absolutely loved it and can not wait for book 2!

Book Info:

Publication: August 2023 | Harlequin Presents | From Destitute to Diamonds #1

Poker pro Jessie Hargreave’s future depends on the riskiest game of her life. And playboy billionaire Ewan Kincaid has just gone all in! Winning Ewan’s Scottish Highland estate is astounding. But it’s their sizzling night together that is most shocking, especially when she discovers the consequences…

Ewan was playing to lose, but he hadn’t counted on his memories of their encounter haunting him beyond measure. When he sees a photo of a very beautiful, very pregnant Jessie, a new endgame is required. This time, to claim his child, he’s playing for keeps!

This sounds interesting. Although my friend who was a professional poker player says the life isn’t that glamorous
