The Bonus by T.L. Swan: Grace has the job that any girl would dream about, working as the executive assistant for Gabriel Ferrara, meaning she has unlimited time with the man so many lust after. While there is no shortage to the perks that come with being the big bosses right hand, there is one down side to Gabriel and that would be his completely demanding, sharp witted neediness. While Gabriel has had no issue living up his life all these year, spending his weekend partying up a storm, Grace has finally decided that she is done sitting back pining for him. It is time to put herself first, starting with resigning… to bad Gabriel is having non of this! This little shake up might have been just the thing Gabriel needed to wake up seeing the offer he makes her to stay is more than just a bit tempting…

As with all of her books Swan delivers a punching, steamy and oh so sassy read with The Bonus. I completely ate up the push and pull dynamic between Grace and Gabriel as they bantered and sassed their way through this book. While there were a few moments that felt a bit flat, here and there, the overall tone of this book was just incredible. I loved the power play between these two, the slow emotional build up and the ever present tension.

Grace was a darling, I loved how relatable and easy to love she came across. She was ambitious and completely determined. She was the kind of girl that knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it, well sort of. There was a really nice balance to her character in the sense we get to see her show a bit of dominance and force in going after what she wanted but also seeing her more vulnerable moments that made her just a bit more relatable. Now for our sharp witted hero, Gabriel. Well he was your typical confidant alpha hero, not afraid to stand his ground and puff out his chest, though this seem to work just fine for him. There was something about him that just made you want to love him even when he was being annoying. I will say that I liked getting to see Grace strip back the layers that Gabriel put around him and allowing us to see a more softer side to him and more surprising was the fact that he was actually really funny. I loved getting to read his inner thoughts and getting s glimpse into what is going on his crazy mind while he tried to figure out his developing feelings for Grace.

This book was filled with the constant will they or won’t they tension and I just loved it! There was such a great build up between Grace and Gabriel, getting to see them try and navigate through their new situation and their feelings for each other. The entire accidental pregnancy bit only added an already tension filled situation between Grace and Gabriel but gosh did it make all the more delectable. Did Gabriel handle the situation well? Nope, not at all but our guy made sure to work hard to win his girl back, and that was definitely worth the drama. I absolutely loved the bit with the twins and getting to see Gabriel soften up around his babies was just adorable.

All in all I really enjoyed reading The Bonus, this book had a nice balance between spicy, sassy, cute and sweet. If you are looking for a good reformed billionaire playboy book then this is definitely one to read!

Grace Porter has the perfect job, great pay, a beautiful office, everything she ever dreamed of, if not for one small detail.
She’s utterly and hopelessly in love with her boss.

Gabriel Ferrara is tall and handsome, and most days she wants to stab her eyes out with a pencil, anything to stop her seeing his perfection.
How any female could work in these conditions and not be completely besotted with him is beyond her.

Then he opens his mouth and she remembers why.
He’s bossy and sarcastic, with a wit so sharp it could cut glass.

Every weekend is the same . . . while he’s off living his dream life, she’s counting down the days until Monday when she sees him again.

But enough is enough.
Grace is tired of organising his glamorous and exciting life, instead of living her own.
Determined to find true happiness, she hands in her resignation.

Furious, he won’t accept it, and rages like never before.
Desperate to keep her, he offers her a Bonus . . . one she never saw coming.

Finally . . .
It’s Grace’s turn to be the boss.
