ceosurpriseThe CEO’s Surprise Family by Teresa Carpenter: Having learned living is what you have to do, some people make the most of it, others try and just protect themselves. What would you do?

Alexa, Lexi, Malone knows that she has to do all she can do to protect her goddaughter. With her friend and Jazi’s mom gone the little one is all she has left and Lexi is determined to do right by her. However when she figures out who Jazi’s father is will Lexi be enough? Or will Jazi’s dad prove to be just too much?

Jethro Calder was never irresponsible, well except once but he learned his lesson, the problem is he never expected to have reminders. However when he saw the picture he just knew and there was no way he was allowing a child of his to stay in foster care, but he knew he was not father material, so now what?

With Lexi and Jethro trying to prove their worth to each other will they ever see what everyone including little Jazi see?

This is a quick novel. It’s part of a series but can be read alone. The story flows well and definitely has a sadder undertone than many romance novels. However it is done well and in the end you realize that without sadness there could not be the happy ending that there is. Think the movie Inside Out. Overall this is an emotional read that is worth the swirl of emotions it will bring to life inside of you.
