The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan: Naomi is all about encouraging a positive out look on sex and pleasure. After having the sex positive start up that she co-foundered get of to a brilliant start Naomi decides to extend her reach this time taking on the educational system, however when live lectures don’t get of to the best start Naomi decides to get a bit of help on how best to tackle this new project. The last thing she expected was to be teaming up with a man of God to talk sex!

Life has been going great for Ethan Cohen not only was he named the city’s hottest bachelor but he has become the rabbi of his very own synagogue. Thinking that as a younger rabbi he would have a better chance at bring in the youth to the faith however Ethan has one issue all his big plans require money, the one thing his shul is running low on. With the board giving him three months to turn things around or face having his synagogue shut down permanently, Ethan has to get a plan together and fast. And what better way to bring in new bodies to the faith while creating a positive buzz than running a series of sex positive lectures with the help of former porn actress Naomi Grant. With their Modern Intimacy series getting of to a roaring start Ethan and Naomi face a new challenge either saw coming; their steamy attraction to each other.

“I thought you were obsessed with winning!”
His blood felt too heavy for his body. He could barely think through his still abating panic. She made him feel like he was unraveling.
“I am,” he yelled back. “But I’m more obsessed with you.”

Oh my goodness this was just brilliant! I absolutely loved reading the first book in this series but I can safely say The Intimacy Experiment has knocked me right over! I loved that Danan went against the grain and put together two very unlikely candidates, like who would think a former porn star and a rabbi would hit it off?

I have to say from all the female leads that I have read Naomi has come to be one of my all time favorites! I loved that she did not shy away from her past but instead embraced it. I will say that this book did take on a lot of issues related to sex such as; shut shaming, self pleasure and that no means no, however they were all handled very tastefully all while keeping it light enough not to overload the reader. I loved watching Naomi bring down her protective shield and watching her learn that she to is allowed to have that special person in her life.

As for Ethan, gosh was he a hottie! I loved that he was so dedicated to his faith bit still you regular guy. I loved that he was not scared to express his feeling for Naomi but still being a gentleman about it and respecting her boundaries. The chemistry between these two was HOT!! I loved watching these two dancing around their attraction for one another only for it to explode in the best way possible!

This boundary pushing steamy romance is a definite must read! I loved that in The Roommate Danan tackle the sex topic and now in The Intimacy Experiment she has taken on what true intimacy really means in the modern world. Danan is fast becoming a must read author for me, I do hope that Leah gets a book of her own soon!

Naomi and Ethan will test the boundaries of love in this provocative romance from the author of the ground-breaking debut, The Roommate.

Naomi Grant has built her life around going against the grain. After the sex-positive start-up she cofounded becomes an international sensation, she wants to extend her educational platform to live lecturing. Unfortunately, despite her long list of qualifications, higher ed won’t hire her.

Ethan Cohen has recently received two honors: LA Mag named him one of the city’s hottest bachelors and he became rabbi of his own synagogue. Taking a gamble in an effort to attract more millennials to the faith, the executive board hired Ethan because of his nontraditional background. Unfortunately, his shul is low on both funds and congregants. The board gives him three months to turn things around or else they’ll close the doors of his synagogue for good.

Naomi and Ethan join forces to host a buzzy seminar series on Modern Intimacy, the perfect solution to their problems–until they discover a new one–their growing attraction to each other. They’ve built the syllabus for love’s latest experiment, but neither of them expected they’d be the ones putting it to the test.
