The Left Side of Perfect by Meghan Quinn: Colby is the total package: sexy, handsome, and a fighter pilot. He’s brooding, confident, and yet not a player like many of his fighter pilot friends and co-workers. He’s pretty much married to his job and isn’t at all in the market for a relationship. He’s more of a homebody who loves to watch TV and movies and read books over going to bars and nightclubs.

Colby is tight with the other fighter pilots and they are always trying to get him to break out of his shell. He loosens up some while hanging out with the maid of honor at his best friend’s wedding and she makes sure to help him have fun. Unexpectedly, she becomes a friend that Colby didn’t know he needed.

“But I’m growing on you.” She wiggles her eyebrows.
I pass my hand over my face and let out a heavy sigh. “When I signed up for this best man gig, I never considered I’d have to hang out with you all night.”
“And look how lucky you are.” She winks and takes another sip.

When Colby runs into an amazing, sweet, and generous woman multiple times, he knows he has to make his move. Their relationship builds slowly, as neither are experts at relationships, but it is endearing and sweet. She is quickly drawn into Colby’s circle of friends in Vegas, where they are all stationed. Colby seems to have it all with his lovely girlfriend, group of friends, and a job he loves, yet there’s something missing.

“Oh, I like this. I can choose anything?”
I slide my jaw back and forth, speaking between my teeth. “Within reason.”
“Hmm…” With an evil glint in her eye, she stares at the ceiling giving her answer some thought.

The Left Side of Perfect is quite the rollercoaster with a few twists and turns and surprising directions. Meghan Quinn builds the tension and conflict in this story while balancing the strong friendships, sense of family, and romance. Ms. Quinn created an entertaining and heartbreaking cast of characters. Fans of Jasmine Guillory and Molly McAdams will enjoy The Left Side of Perfect.

For better or for worse,’til death do us part . . .

The better captured me; she’s who stole my heart.
And made me realize I couldn’t live without this woman.
The worse of her took my breath away–kicked me when I was down and twisted me into a million knots.

When I first met her, I thought she was someone I would never see again.
The second time I ran into her, it was a random coincidence.
The third?
I didn’t know it at the time, but she was the girl I was going to marry.

But life isn’t always perfect. You have to take the better and the worse–even if it means giving her up, having her slip between your fingers, and letting her walk away.

I’m getting married.
This is forever, ’til death do us part.
