A sweeping tale of love is what I feel Kali Anthony has created with her latest release, The Marriage That Made Her Queen

Devastatingly handsome Rafe, billionaire businessman, family friend and once holder of Lise’s heart, rejects Lise’s offer of an unconsummated marriage. Not only does he reject it for the nonsensical life she’s assigning him to but he almost explodes in anger when Lise makes the ridiculous assumption he can find satisfaction outside of their bedroom. It makes no sense! So imagine his shock when Lise declares the monarchy will die with her and there will be no heirs or spares. However, unbeknownst to Lise, Rafe has a plan. A plan to win his wife. Challenge accepted!

Rafe is a ruthless businessman to the outside but internally when he has three days to soften his wife his passionate side shines for his wife. Navigating her enforced period of mourning; Rafe’s battle is hard fought. To melt Lise, Rafe really has taken on a challenge of a lifetime. The battle of wills is enjoyable and the emotion is intense and the humour is delightful. From electric passions to heartfelt to conversations that skid off track to explosive and heart-wrenching conflict, Kali Anthony captured every emotion under the rainbow.

The life long love Rafe and Lise are destined to share clearly shines through each page of this magnificent story. Battling against the constituency, with Rafe’s support, Lise slowly lowers her walls. Battling to prove he’s more than the commoner he was raised as Rafe works overtime to win Lise, the government and the country and I was on board the entire ride. Deep inside they both hope the other can love them for who they are but does Rafe realise this too late? Or does Lise discovering the hidden meaning in her wedding ring mean too little, too late?

Concluding with a beautiful epilogue, I love that there will be more instalments and I know I will absolutely read “The Marriage that made her Queen” again.
