I just love a small town romance and if anyone knows how to craft a cute small town it is Locke. The Sweet Spot was the cutest slow burn, small town, sport romance that I have read in a while. This book just hits the sweet spot. I loved that there was no unnecessary drama to take away from a cute story.
Palmer was such a sassy leading lady and I was totally here for it! I loved that she was so hard working and real. She put all her heart into her son and making sure that he had everything that he needed. She really was a thoughtful character that I loved getting to see finally find true love, because gosh our girl really had some bad luck in the past with guys. I loved that she kept Cole on his toes but was really just slowly falling in love with him.
Our hero Cole was a total sweetheart. It was impossible not to love this guy. I just loved that family was so important to him and this alined perfectly with Palmer. My heart totally melted seeing him with Ethan and the bond that they formed. Truly Cole had his eye on the prize the entire time and for him Palmer was his ultimate prize. I really enjoyed getting to see Cole’s character grow as the book went on and getting to see him finally find his happiness.
Right from their first meeting I knew that Palmer and Cole would be magic together. These two just had a spark about them, with their playful easy banter and wit it was easy to get lost in their story. I loved that they both had really step out of their comfort zones to make their relationship work and that they were there to support each other. If anything this book just proves that sometimes the right person for you will walk into your life and you have no choice but to take note of them.
The Sweet Spot was a beautiful read, this small town romance is filled with loads of emotion, love and hope and will leave you feeling all warm and happy. I definitely recommend it!
