The Tycoon’s Delicious Distraction by Maggie Cox: Hal Treverne is confined to a wheelchair after an unfortunate skiing accident. He is not happy in being so helpless and constantly dependent on others due to his physical condition. He hires Kit as a temporary companion to help him with all things practical while he recuperates but he does not take into the attraction he starts feeling for his feisty new assistant. Forced to rely on her, there’s no escape from her intoxicating 19620168presence and soon he catches a glimpse of the simmering desire she conceals beneath her ever-so-professional facade. Unleashing Kit’s passion is a challenge this arrogant tycoon will relish!

“It’s good to know you don’t have a problem with a woman being in charge.”
“This is a one time, and one time only, deal. My tolerance and acceptance will only stretch so far. Once I’m back on my feet again, you’d be unwise to push any advantage you’d gained while I was laid up.”

The Tycoon’s Delicious Distraction by Maggie Cox is a pleasant read written in the author’s usual pleasant style. Kit was a feisty heroine who stood her ground every time and Hal was too bad tempered throughout the book. I understood his physical incapability made him grumpy but sometimes I just wish he would snap out of it and realize that it was a temporary disability not a permanent one.

There was an epilogue in the end which wrapped up the book well and was kinda sweet. I had a problem with the blurb of the story which states Kit was a physio when she was clearly his temporary assistant and there is a good difference between physio and assistant. Kit and Hal were likable characters but their chemistry was really low on pretty much every level.

Overall The Tycoon’s Delicious Distraction by Maggie Cox is a pleasant enough read altogether. It has its moments but a grumpy hero and non existent chemistry between the characters might put you off a little. Maggie Cox is a great author but this one is sadly not her best.

Has this playboy met his match?

Notorious maverick and wildly successful music producer Hal Treverne is not living up to his reputation for being “lucky.” Confined to a wheelchair after a traumatic skiing accident, he’s furious.

Especially because a woman as feisty as his physio, Kit, should already have been in his bed and out of his system! Forced to rely on her, there’s no escape from her intoxicating presence….

Until he catches a glimpse of the simmering desire she conceals beneath her ever-so-professional facade. Unleashing Kit’s passion is a challenge this arrogant tycoon will relish!
