REVIEW: Tied by Emma Chase

In Tied (Tangled #4) by Emma Chase, Drew Evans is headed to Vegas with his best friends, Kate, and her best friends in tow to celebrate their bachelor & bachelorette parties. What could possibly go wrong? Right? Well, as it turns out, a lot. What starts off with Tied3good intentions soon turns into a night of mayhem, jealousy, and hilarity that no one will soon forget.

“You’re going to go out with the guys and be assaulted by money-hungry strippers–and I’m okay with that.”
I nod. “And you’re going to go out with the girls and be surrounded by horny, half-naked men–and it won’t bother me.”
“We’re the stable couple in the group now.”
“We’ll have a good time–no problems.”
When I told her that? I honestly believed it.

If Drew and crew can make it through the night without getting into a fight, getting black-out drunk, or falling into bed with a stripper, then they plan to make their way back to New York for the wedding experience of their lives. Drew can’t wait to make Kate his own and ensure she’s the happiest bride ever. But they have to survive Vegas first.

“I love you, Kate. I’m going to love you forever. And whatever comes after forever–I’m going to love you then too.”
My words bring tears to her eyes. She kisses me gently, softly. Then she traces my lips with her finger. “You can bet your ass that I’m going to hold you to that, Drew Evans.”

Say it isn’t so! Tied is the final full-length novel featuring Drew and Kate, which deeply saddens me. I’ve grown attached to their antics and their passionate nature. Although, author Emma Chase hints there may be other novellas, or possibly even prequels, in the future. *fingers crossed*

Drew is still his sharp-witted, hilarious self as he narrates this story about his impending wedding to the love of his life, Miss Kate Brooks. We get caught up to date with what has happened since we’ve last seen them. And a lot has happened in a couple of years. I think we get some of the most endearing scenes of the series here between Drew, Kate, and a special someone new to their lives. I won’t give too many details in case you haven’t read book two, Twisted, yet. But suffice it to say that their lives, as well as that of all of their friends and family, has changed quite a bit. For the better. So, I would caution you, it would benefit readers to follow this series in order, otherwise you’ll have some major spoilers if you start in the middle and work your way back.

Knowing that this was a bachelor/bachelorette party story set in Las Vegas, I could only guess at the debauchery our characters would commit. I mean, it’s Drew, Matthew, Steven, Jack, and Billy. And that’s just the guys. Then there’s Kate, Dee Dee, Alexandra, and Erin. You knew things were bound to get crazy. And boy did they ever. I love that even though some of it may seem cliche, like going to a strip club, Drew and Kate put their own unique spin on everything and I had no idea where things would end up. Other than a mess, that is. But I will say that they make it out of Vegas alive, in good enough shape to celebrate the wedding of the year in NYC. I’ll leave you all to read about that event with no spoilers because it was one of the most lovely wedding scenes I’ve read in a long time. I think you’ll enjoy every moment.

If you’re a Drew-girl like me, I think you’ll have a fantastic time reading Tied. This is the last big hurrah with the whole gang making an appearance, so don’t miss out on their uproarious shenanigans.

In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of… my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you’ve heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?
