REVIEW: Twisted Games by Ana Huang

Twisted Games by Ana Huang: Bridget has always been the spare and really she has been just fine with the fact that her older brother would someday become the king of Eldorra, leaving her to live her best normal life in New York with all of her friends. That is until her brother abdicates the throne to marry for love, leaving Bridget in the hot seat! Now not only does Bridget have to leave her life in New York behind but she has to prepare to rule the people of Eldorra all while trying to keep her insanely hot and forbidden relationship with Rhys her bodyguard on the down low!

Twisted Games was one steamy forbidden romance with a saucy twist! After first meeting Bridget in Twisted Love I was eager to get my hands on her story and let me just tell you that this was one unexpected slow burn romance that I could not get enough off! I really liked that this book combined the angsty suspense of a slow burn romance with the insta lust trope, it was pretty clear from early on in this book that Bridget and Rhys were attracted to each other but just delaying the invertible.

Bridget was such an interesting character. I just loved the fact that she was an actual princess and that she was so chilled out about her status. I really liked that she was a genuinely kind and caring person. I loved her passion and dedication to her volunteering at the animal shelter. As for our hero Rhys, well he was a total possessive protective alpha hero. I loved that he was so closed off and cold with everyone but showed her his softer side. It was pretty easy to feel totally drawn in by Rhys especially when he does sweet cute things like throwing Bridget an indoor festival to cheer her up. I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two characters. The entire forbidden element in their romance only made their chemistry all the more sparky.

Overall Twisted Games was a pretty good read. There was a nice combination of angsty slow burn romance, a touch of suspense and one incredibly hot alpha hero that gets his princess in the end of the day.
