Twisted Lies by Ana Huang: Every monster has a weakness and for Christian Harper that was the beautiful Stella Alonso. Right from the very first moment he laid eyes on her, Christian was obsessed. So when social media influencer Stella is in the need of a fake boyfriend to help her increase her follows and keep a total creep at bay, Christian doesn’t even think twice about offering up himself for the job. After breaking all of his own rule can Christian finally solve the one puzzle that eludes him…how Stella found her way into his closed of heart.

The last thing that Stella has time for is a relationship, between balancing her two jobs she really just doesn’t have the time for it, but when a ghost from her past resurfaces she has no choice but to seek safety in the arms of one of the most dangerous men in town…who also so happens to be completely obsessed with her…while she should be fearing the dangers that are lurking in the shadows Stella can’t help but worry about the very real danger of falling in love with a man like Christian Harper…

This book was slow burn perfection! I just loved how twisted and dark this book turned out to be but still holding a note of sweet romance at the end. I think this was one of the best books in this series and you can clearly see the way Huang has developed as a writer, truly I can not wait to see what she has planned for next.

“When was the last time you left your apartment? You’re wilting.”
My mouth parted in shock at the utter rudeness of his comment.
“I am not wilting. I am merely…hibernating.”

I think that it would be safe to say that Stella was may favourite leading lady in this series! She was such a boss girl in so many way but most of all I loved that she was so relatable. I loved the fact that she highlighted that fact that everyone has problems, and that all problems don’t come in the same shape or size. She faced a lot of self doubt that caused her to have panic attacks because of the way her family made her feel. This just broke my heart but also made her just that much more relatable. I loved the fact that even though she was an influencer she was a total introvert. I really enjoyed getting to see her character grow and develop throughout the novel proving how strong and resilient she really was.

Now with a morally grey heroes might not be everyones cup of tea but gosh was Christian just delectable to read! This guy just oozed alpha that did not care who he crushed in his pursuit. More than this I loved the fact that Christian was this hard, cold and calculated guy on the outside but with Stella he was mush. There was something really primal about his obsession with Stella and this only made his character that much more hot! I absolutely swooned at the fact that he wrote her a letter for everyday that they were apart and melted even more when we got to see him getting jealous over a stuffed unicorn toy! Also I just loved his bromance with the other guys from this series! Gosh their moments together were just hilarious!

“I glared at the raggedy stuffed animal polluting my living room. I didn’t understand why Stella loved it so much, or why her followers would rather cuddle with it than me”

Together Stella and Christian were just hot! They had such amazing chemistry and the slow drawn out element to their romance only made things hotter. I will say that there are a lot of kinks in this book but Huang has written them very well. As for the Stella’s stalker, well this kind of fell flat for me, the reveal was a bit anticlimactic really but I will say that I loved the way it got handled! Also I have to mention that I loved that Christian was there the entire time to help Stella through her panic attacks and that he was so willing to do anything to protect her.

Twisted Lies was the perfect conclusion to the Twisted series, I loved the epilogue and that it helps close of this series in a way that everyone gets a happily ever after. I definitely recommend reading Twisted Lies.

He’ll do anything to have her…including lie.

Charming, deadly, and smart enough to hide it, Christian Harper is a monster dressed in the perfectly tailored suits of a gentleman.

He has little use for morals and even less use for love, but he can’t deny the strange pull he feels toward the woman living just one floor below him.

She’s the object of his darkest desires, the only puzzle he can’t solve. And when the opportunity to get closer to her arises, he breaks his own rules to offer her a deal she can’t refuse.

Every monster has their weakness. She’s his.

His obsession.
His addiction.
His only exception.

**

Sweet, shy, and introverted despite her social media fame, Stella Alonso is a romantic who keeps her heart in a cage.

Between her two jobs, she has little time or desire for a relationship.

But when a threat from her past drives her into the arms—and house—of the most dangerous man she’s ever met, she’s tempted to let herself feel something for the first time in a long time.

Because despite Christian’s cold nature, he makes her feel everything when she’s with him.

Passionate.

Truly wanted.

Theirs is a love twisted with secrets and tainted by lies…and when the truths are finally revealed, they could shatter everything.
