Undercover Amish by Debby Giusti: In the first book of this series, I kept reading briefly about the character Hannah, when her sister Miriam was desperately trying to reach her after their mother was killed and their other sister abducted.

In Undercover Amish, Debby Giusti tells Hannah’s story, which starts with Hannah being followed by a man seeking her sister Miriam, and trying to harm Hannah on a dark country road. Hannah escapes him and is rescued by Lucas, a nearby caretaker for an Amish B and B. Lucas provides shelter for Hannah at the B and B, whose owner takes Hannah in and pretends she is a long lost relative.

Fanny, the owner, soon develops true affection and love for Hannah, who is eager for this after losing her estranged mother. Hannah is desperate to find out who killed her mother and abducted her sister, and to also find out why other young women in the community are going missing. When it is suspected that these disappearances are connected with human trafficking, her search becomes yet more desperate, as do the efforts of the evil man trying to take her.

Amish Undercover definitely has quite a bit of suspense, and kept me on the edge of my seat! I do highly recommend thsi to readers who enjoy the combination of Amish stories and suspense.
