Wedding Bells in Christmas by Debiie Mason: Five years ago, Chance’s pregnant wife Wedding Bells in Christmasdied. Since then he has refused all ideas of love, believing she was his one and only. But then comes along Vivi, the stubborn, beautiful, (and scared of everything not New York, but otherwise fearless) journalist who Chance just can’t keep away from. Especially when it looks like she’s getting herself involved with the Callahan’s, the family who Chance believes caused his wife’s demise, out of journalistic curiosity.

Set in Christmas, Colorado among a cast of wildly neurotic friends and family who always got each other’s back, Chance finds he absolutely can’t resist Vivi when placed in close contact during the week of preparation before his father’s wedding. It’s especially impossible to ignore his desire when his aunt Nell is doing her match-making thing and trying to make a match of the two because of their one fiery week encounter in New York over a year ago, beginning with their plane tickets.

“Vivi’s eyes widened as the 757 started to shake. She dug her fingernails into the armrest. Oh, God, oh, God. When the plane took a stomach-turning drop, she screamed, throwing herself into the arms of the man she wanted to smack only a few seconds ago. ‘Do something! You –‘
He sighed, lowering his head to smother her panicked cries with a deep, soul-searing kiss.”

I loved Wedding Bells in Christmas, I even went to buy the first three in the series right after. It was adorable, all the characters were lovely, especially the match-making Aunt Nell who refuses to leave those she loves alone.

Vivi was vivacious and Chance was a total book boyfriend. even when trying to (badly) resist Vivi, he was always looking out for her, and totally making a fool of himself when she had a date with a different man.

My one issue was the dead wife and guilt associated with loving another. I hate having the loved dead wife, and child, because it takes away from the romantic desire to be the true one and only that I want from a romance novel.

Otherwise, I highly recommend Wedding Bells in Christmas by Debiie Mason to everyone. It’s adorable and hot, a very fun read overall, with a great community that drags you right in.

To have and to hold from this day forward…

Wedding bells are ringing in the charming town of Christmas, but not for Vivian Westfield. She’s just had her heart trampled under the cowboy boots of Chance McBride and lost her dream job at a big-city newspaper. But when she returns for a wedding, she stumbles on a story that could resurrect her career. First, though, she’ll have to deal with the handsome man standing in her way… and a still-burning flame that’s too hot to ignore.

Chance recognizes trouble when he sees it. He just didn’t expect to find it in the first-class cabin on the flight home for his father’s wedding. Yet there she is, as gorgeous as ever. Vivi dared Chance to want things he knew he could never have. It’s why he left her. But Christmas’s meddling matchmakers have them firmly in their sights. So if they want to survive the next week, they’ll have to play the part of an adoring couple—an irresistible charade that may give them a second chance at the real thing..
