You and Only You (Blessings, Georgia #1) by Sharon Sala: What I truly enjoy about Sharon Sala’s stories is that she makes the characters just come alive in the pages of her books. They are honest, they are real, you feel like they can be the person next door. You truly become vested in each couple and every person that you meet in the little town of Blessings, Georgia. This is the story of Mike and LilyAnn.

Mike Dalton lives right next door to LilyAnn Bronte and has loved her since they were kids, but he never let her know, and because she was involved with his friend, he suffered in silence for years. He knows that she has never seen him as anything more than a friend, and sudo – brother, but he will do anything, try anything to make her see him, make her see that he is the one for her.

LilyAnn has been morning the loss of her almost fiance for years. Killed in the war, she has closed herself off. When a tough guy with a fast car comes roaring into town, LilyAnn thinks it might be time to come back to the land of the living. Deciding to make some changes in her life, she enlists the help of her buddy Mike. But when misunderstandings between Mike and LilyAnn threaten to tear their friendship, their future, they HEA apart it will take the nosy neighbors and their parents to step in and force these two to take off their blinders and see that they are truly meant for each other.

I love the characters of Blessings, Georgia. I have read other books surrounding these characters and they are funny, feisty and endearing. I loved that Mike was so protective of LilyAnn, helping her when she needed it, showing her in the little ways that he was there for her. It broke my heart at times to see how each of them missed what was really going on under the surface. The love that they had for each other was obvious, and the respect and friendship that they had for each other made a foundation for a HEA that will make anyone stand up and cheer. I look forward to reading more by this author and will be looking for more stories from Blessings, Georgia.
