A Light in the Window by Jolyse Barnett: Jade Emily Engel always held herself a bit apart from everyone. She really just wanted to make everyone who was important to her happy, didn’t want to cause any sitrs, just fit in. The problem with that was that she was denying herself in the process. Benji Stephens knew who he was and was comfortable with that person. He had his time of upheaval when he was younger, but now he was comfortable and everything was okay, except something was missing.
When Jade and Ben run into each other again after so many years they each begin to wonder could this be their second chance?
A second in the New York Christmas series by Tule Ms. Barnett takes us back to an amazing group of females in the most magical of seasons. Here we get a story that makes us question why we do what we do when we are younger and the need to please others. Over the course of the novel we can see a young woman transform her need to please into her need to be herself.
A Light in the Window a quick read with some romance, but more along the lines of a chick lit novella.
